Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION: Monitor and co-ordinate import & export shipments Handling and preparation of all shipping related documents pertaining to import/export, including Bill of Ladings, delivery order, tax invoice, arrival notice, Certificate of Origin, FTA Certificate, AMS/ISF Filing, Customs Declaration. Managing and tracking of cargo insurances Coordinate and liaise with Warehouses, Forwarders, Vendors, Shippers, Consignees, Customs Agents, Vessel Agents etc. to ensure timely execution of shipments Land transportation: arranging and coordinating for transportation / trucking etc. Ocean freight: booking of cargoes (break bulk and containerized) with Ship Owners, Shipping Lines Air Freight Send notice to consignee and arrange collection / delivery of cargoes Track shipment status (incoming, outgoing and queries) Ensure all shipments are approve before cargo export Determine storage locations, consolidate and allocate specific space for storage Verify freight invoices, maintain proper filling of the various shipping related forms/documentations for traceability & audit purposes Perform billing on a timely basis Data entry and other related assignments Filing, scanning of documents Other ad hoc shipping related jobs as assignedYEARS OF EXPERIENCE: Min 3 years with international Freight Forwarding Company (or similar role)SKILLS REQUIRED: Fluent in English (essential), Mandarin (Spoken) and Malay a plus. Advanced MS Office especially MS Excel (essential)
