Caterpillar\'s Product Support Logistics Division (PSLD) is seeking a talented Logistics Engineer in Singapore. The role will effectively support PSLD

Reporting to the PSLD Logistics Manager, this position is primarily responsible for the following key functions:

Provide day to day support to Asia Distribution Centre including monitoring, reporting and analyzing facility storage cube/location utilizations, labor capacities and area level productivities

Close collaboration with the Operations Team to identify and execute safety, quality, storage, and productivity improvement opportunities

Identify and commission new warehousing storage and handling technology

Actively involvement in driving cost and efficiency improvement initiatives

Some business travel may be required.

Background / Experience:

Degree in supply chain, logistics, industrial or mechanical engineering.

3+ years of related experience, preferably in warehouse planning and design, supply chain, or manufacturing.

Technical skills including: Data purification & analysis; warehouse storage design; machinery & equipment design and procurement; workforce & equipment planning; logistics process design; inventory transfer & rearrangement planning; and integrating supply chain knowledge into warehouse design.

Knowledgeable about the local WMS system (ideally SAP) and can integrate this into the overall design of the facility.

Demonstrate intermediate to strong skilled levels of the following values-based competencies (VBCs): integrity & trust; building inclusive relationships; customer focus; problem solving; priority setting; and dealing with uncertainty.

Be proficient in English and Chinese.
