Job Description

• Manage and improve the efficiency of day-to-day logistic operation

• Plan and coordinate shipments to ensure timely delivery to final destination

• Work with Logistic Manager to develop, implement and review operational and logistic policies and procedures to ensure smooth daily activities and accuracy in receiving, storage, packing, delivery and distribution, manage the flow and quality of work to maximize efficiency

• Coordinate with overseas shipping agent on shipments and custom related issues

• To support operation logistic, import, export and transhipment

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, and able to work independently with minimum supervision

• Update and compile logistics-related report

• Ensure accuracy of all vendor invoices and warehouse inventories

• Support in the selection and evaluation of 3rd party forwarder and transportation companies, including drafting the scope of work to negotiate on the fees during the contract period

• Perform operational / ad-hoc tasks as assigned
  

• Minimum of Diploma / Degree in Logistics Operations or equivalent.

• Min 2 years of experience in logistics or operations management, preferably in the trading industry

• Operational experience in handling Singapore shipment covering road, sea and air transport.

• Demonstrable knowledge of delivering solutions for project logistics and complex scenarios in a high-pressure environment.

• Good working knowledge of managing import and export of goods and associated documentation.

• Working knowledge and operational use of INCOTERMS.

• Practical experience of identifying HS codes and commodity classification.

• Sound understanding of performance management and customer service as key success factors.

• Ability to work well under pressure and make quick, effective decisions

• Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Office.

• Maintain excellent planning, organizational and communication skills.

• Strong spoken and written communication skills.

• Strong and effective team working abilities and the ability to work on own initiative.

• Able to speak Mandarin to communicate with China Logistic Team members.
