Responsibilities:
- Promote knowledge sharing and collaboration among team members.
- Conduct recruitment, onboarding, performance appraisals, training, and terminations.
- Establish and monitor performance indicators.
- Accountable for the Profit and Loss account of the Land and Logistics department to achieve financial targets and ensure adherence to the allocated budget.
- Approve costs according to the Allocation of Competence.
- Provide relevant data and insights to support the annual budget creation process.
- Conduct monthly/quarterly business reviews with key customers to maintain excellent relationships, ensure service excellence and retain customers.
- Lead the Request for Quotation (RFQ) program in collaboration with a cross-functional team to create logistics solutions and prepare commercially viable proposals within given timelines.
- Lead business onboarding, planning and setup according to customer requirements, and execute special projects.
- Analyze customer profitability, suggest solutions to improve profitability by enhancing productivity, efficiency, and accuracy.
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify gaps in processes and systems, and employ innovative approaches to streamline processes and eliminate waste/non-value-adding activities.
- Provide ideas to enhance efficiency, quality, safety, and cost optimization, and drive continuous improvement processes.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant laws and regulations.
- Accurately report revenue and costs and prepare monthly management reports.
- Capture, measure, and report on service delivery and quality, and develop effective reporting methods to gain insights into the business.
- Lead and drive performance and cost reviews both internally and externally.
Additional Information:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in contract logistics, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong people management skills.
- Experience in 3PLs and multi-client warehouse operations.
- Proficient in customs procedures, and prior experience in Zero-GST Scheme would be an advantage.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact comfortably with customers.
- Strong commercial mindset, excellent analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Bachelor\'s degree in Logistics, Transport, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
