. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient, safe, and cost-effective movement and storage of goods while maintaining compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Warehouse Management:
Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory management, and order fulfilment.
Implement and maintain effective inventory control systems to minimize discrepancies and optimize stock levels.
Ensure warehouse layout and processes are designed for efficiency, safety, and compliance.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs.
Transport Management:
Plan, organize, and manage the entire transport function, including fleet operations, driver scheduling, and delivery coordination.
Optimize transport routes and delivery schedules to ensure timely and cost-efficient delivery performance.
Monitor vehicle maintenance, fuel usage, and compliance with transport regulations.
Manage vendor and service provider performance, ensuring adherence to contractual terms and service levels.
Manpower Planning & Leadership:
Develop and execute
manpower plans
to ensure adequate staffing levels across transport and warehouse operations.
Forecast manpower needs based on workload, seasonal demand, and business growth.
Lead, train, and motivate logistics and warehouse teams to achieve departmental objectives.
Conduct performance evaluations and identify training needs for skill enhancement and succession planning.
Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Leadership & Compliance:
Lead and develop a team of logistics and warehouse staff, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and safety.
Ensure compliance with ISO standards, health & safety regulations, and company policies.
Prepare and analyse logistics reports, KPIs, and performance metrics for management review.
Collaborate closely with other departments such as Procurement, Production, and Customer Service to ensure seamless operations.
Requirements
Diploma in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Basic knowledge or experience in bookkeeping or finance-related processes.
Strong ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Excellent multitasking skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and systematic in executing tasks.
* Familiarity with logistics processes or systems (e.g., NOVA or similar ERP tools) is preferred.
