Learn more at https://www.jnj.com/Role Summary:The Logistics & Manufacturing IT Lead is responsible for IT capabilities predominantly used in manufacturing and logistics sites. As a part of a global extended IT team, the lead engineer will design, provision, integrate, and support specialty devices and edge computing. This role will provide technical capabilities & innovations to improve business efficiency and reliability - to the most essential part of product supply in J&J company, the manufacturing and logistics sites.
1. This role\'s initial IT solution scope will focus on the infrastructures and peripheral systems critical to the manufacturing and logistics sites; depending on business needs, it will also touch on application systems.
2. In the initial 6 months, the Lead Engineer is expected to be equipped with technical knowledge and hands-on experience in a specialty area such as RF Guns, Voice picking, and Mobile Device Management systems. The engineer will work with the global capability team to learn and collaborate on change activities.
3. Once this role is equipped with a specialty area and gains a broader understanding of solutions across manufacturing and logistics solution automation, he/she will assume the additional responsibility of managing and improving the demand intake process to drive solutions and support Agile practices to deliver on backlog commitments.Key Responsibilities:

  • As a part of a "capability team" and as the extension of the global team, lead the new deployments and maintain specialty devices scope such as RF guns/mobile devices & associated security management, labeling software/printers, and peripheral systems specific to manufacturing and distribution centers *The specialty devices\' knowledge and skills can be developed after joining J&J based on the technology experiences of the candidate
  • Lead and supervise a team of engineers executing infrastructure changes, including firewall and peripheral systems. Protect the organization\'s networks and data by taking co-ownership of the systems with global service owners, ensuring they are properly configured, monitored, and maintained
  • Own new requests and intake, supporting solution/service design that supports the organization\'s needs, meeting security, privacy, and compliance standards. The first 6 months\' scope will be for APAC; expect to widen the scope beyond APAC after being familiar with J&J business and infrastructure systems environment
  • Collaborate closely with the Technical Product Owner to deliver technology services, define SLAs, and manage product lifecycle
  • In the capacity time, work with the site services team to support PMO activities such as structuring reporting and analytics dashboard to monitor service performance and sprint metrics
  • Provide continuous functional and technical support to business and IT colleagues
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent with at least 5 years of experience in delivering IT services
  • Experience in infrastructure technology service (e.g., LAN/WAN, Wireless LAN, firewall, server, storage, virtualization), with hands-on experience in the network area
  • Self-starter to identify areas of contribution based on the learnings and experiences. Willingness to learn technologies, adapt to new environments, and proactively propose new/improved processes
  • Solid understanding of lifecycle maintenance/management of technical platforms and product
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Value-focused with a strong service orientation
  • Understanding of ITIL framework principles
  • Understand agile methodology and product management
Preferred:
  • Familiarity with Manufacturing/Warehouse/Distribution center operations
  • The working knowledge of Level 2 and Level 3 systems and devices (e.g., RF Guns, Loftware, label printers, WCS, SAP labeling printing, MDM)
  • Knowledge of GxP and GAMP5
  • Understanding of private and public cloud computing architectures, including building and maintaining solutions, scripting, and automation
  • Hands-on experience in security-related areas
  • Proficiency in Chinese and/or Japanese can add additional value for effective regional communication as the key stakeholders are in Mainland China and Japan
  • Knowledge of ISA-95 and ISA-99 standards
