Logistics Operation Manager responsibilities include organizing and monitoring storage and distribution of goods and also to ensure the logistics process run smoothly. The goal is to manage the entire order cycle so as to enhance business development and ensure sustainability and customer satisfaction. Specific Responsibilities: 1. The Trainee will be able to create and implement best practice logistics principles, policies and processes to improve operational and financial performance. He/she will be able to deliver solutions to logistics problems while maintaining high levels of quality and service 2. The Trainee will be able to strategically plan and manage logistics, transportation and customer services. He/she will be able to direct, optimize and coordinate full order cycle and resolve any arising problems or complaints. The Trainee will be able to meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets and task to maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements. 3. The Trainee will be able identify any inventory discrepancies and ensure inventory and system records are in agreement. Be able to keep track of slow moving and obsolete stock. He/she will be able to identify savings by removing waste or unnecessary steps in the logistics process. 4. The Trainee will be able to conduct or review environmental audits for logistics activities to ensure processes are as environmentally friendly as possible and to review opportunities to be as environmentally friendly as possible. 5. The Trainee will be able to ensure all completed orders are dispatched on time and to take responsibility for accuracy of labelling to ensure correct parts/finished assemblies reach correct customers at the correct time. Be able to support new business initiatives and projects and contribute to review meetings and change process and ensuring that effective logistics implementation takes place relating to the changes. 6. Trainee will work with the Director to learn and practice writing a good operation management report, forecasting, budgeting, and providing effective and timely operation and sales updates to management. 7. Trainee will collaborate with the internal team and clients to ensure that services are delivered on time and to the client's specifications, as well as to report and resolve any issues that arise. 8. Trainee will be able to ensure all completed orders are dispatched on time to take responsibility for accuracy. The Trainee will be able to support new business initatives and projects and contribute to review meetings and change process and ensure that effective logistics implementation takes place relating to the changes 9. Trainee will be able to prepare annual budget reports and also able to do forecasting, improve operational management systems, implement processes and best pratices Competencies: 1. Gain experience in general and task management like planning and managing and evaluate logistics operations, Create and implement best practice logistics principles, policies and processes, Recommend optimal transport modes, routes or frequency. 2. Excellent analytical, problem solving and organisational skills 3. Gain experience in stock/inventory management, Identify and resolve any inventory discrepancies. Ensure IT systems in place are effective, maintained and accurate. 4. Compliance with the regulations and legal and health and safety requirements. 5. Develop and maintain strong relationships with all connected with the logistics process, Ensure products are shipped appropriately to ensure quality of goods during transportation. 6.
