Job Description


What the role is:

Deputy Manager / Assistant Manager, Collections, Receivables and Refunds

What you will be working on:

You will be part of a transformative Finance team overseeing the revenue collection and account receivable function while driving process improvement within the team using automation and cutting-edge technology.

Your key role is to oversee the daily operations of the revenue reconciliation and settlement process under the Government Contracting Models to achieve prompt and accurate accounting in accordance with the Statutory Board Financial Reporting Standards and other relevant policies and regulations. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand their business requirements and support them in daily receivable operations and other project activities, including providing financial inputs on contract and tender specifications, reviewing business requirements and revenue reporting.

In addition, you will also be responsible for the preparation of output Goods & Services Tax (GST) for submission to IRAS. You should be familiar with IRAS GST rules and regulations and will liaise with IRAS on output GST issues and provide advice on output GST matters to stakeholders where required.

Other key aspects of your role are to carry out user acceptance testing relating to system enhancement and integration, prepare, review and maintain Standard Operating Procedures and user guides and provide guidance to other team members.

Finally, you will also review our current processes and identify opportunities for process improvement. With automation technology, you will be empowered to propose ways to streamline and automate billing functions to achieve greater operational efficiency as well as collaborate with internal business groups to co-create solutions that align with their needs.

You may be offered longer term contract with good performance.

What we are looking for:

  • Tertiary qualification in Accountancy or equivalent professional qualifications
  • At least 3 years of relevant working experience in handling Finance operations
  • Able to work independently and perform well under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Highly driven individual who is meticulous, analytical, and resourceful
  • Good teamwork and interpersonal skills, with ability to interact across different stakeholder groups
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
  • Experience in SAP financial system and good knowledge of GST will be an advantage
