[What the role is]
[LTA-RSE] SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT TRAINEE [GRIT@GOV]
[What you will be working on]
The SCRM (Station and Cross Rail Matrix) application validates the fare and charging ratios for new MRT lines. The project goal is to modernize to latest Java version and re-implement the current desktop application as a hosted web application. The trainee's roles are to understand the existing code base, and code the modernized version by applying latest industry standards in Java application and user interface development to enhance it. At the same time, trainee will leverage on latest AI Coding Assistants to deliver the project, documenting the challenges encountered.
[What we are looking for]
General Software Engineering skills, specific skillset in Java and willingness to learn new technologies, and familiarity with AI coding tools.
