M365 Architect

Role Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and visionary M365 Architect to lead the strategic design, implementation, and optimization of our global Microsoft 365 ecosystem. This role is critical for shaping our digital workplace, ensuring security and compliance at scale, and driving automation to enhance productivity. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in M365 cross-tenant architectures, a proven track record in large-scale deployments, and the ability to translate business requirements into robust, secure, and efficient technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities- Architecture & Strategy:

Design and document the end-to-end architecture for complex M365 deployments, including cross-tenant and multi-geo configurations to meet data residency and business segmentation requirements. Develop and maintain the strategic roadmap for the M365 platform, ensuring alignment with business objectives and IT security policies. Provide expert-level guidance on M365 workloads, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, Purview, and Entra ID.
Security, Compliance & Governance:

Architect and implement robust data governance and security frameworks using the Microsoft Purview suite. Design and configure Information Barriers to enforce ethical walls and compliance requirements. Implement and manage Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies to protect sensitive information across M365 applications. Define and automate Retention Policies and Records Management to ensure regulatory compliance and optimize data lifecycle management.
Automation & Deployment:

Lead the automation of M365 provisioning and management tasks using PowerShell scripting as the primary tool. Develop and execute strategies for mass rollouts of M365 applications and configurations across large, global user bases. Design and optimize the provisioning process for SharePoint Online sites and other M365 collaborative workspaces, ensuring governance and consistency.
Project Leadership & Collaboration:

Lead key M365 projects from conception through to implementation, including stakeholder management, planning, and execution. Act as the highest level of technical escalation for complex issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing long-term solutions. Collaborate with security, compliance, and infrastructure teams to ensure integrated and seamless service delivery.
Qualifications & Experience (Must-Have)

5+ years of hands-on architecture experience with the Microsoft 365 ecosystem. Proven, demonstrable experience in designing and explaining architectures for M365 cross-tenant deployments and Multi-geo configurations. Deep, practical knowledge of Microsoft Purview, with specific experience implementing: Information Barriers Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies Retention Policies and Labels Expert-level proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automating M365 administration and large-scale deployments. Experience leading the end-to-end provisioning process for SharePoint Online sites and other M365 services. A strong track record of leading complex M365 projects, with the ability to articulate challenges faced and the solutions implemented.

Pay: $10,000.00 - $14,000.00 per month
