An exciting new M&A Associate opportunity has just been made available at a Singapore-based investment bank focused on investments in the North Asia region.

About the M&A Associate Role:
You will report to the Directors directly and will be exposed to, and assist with, various financial tasks, analysis, and deal research. By virtue of it being a lean team in Singapore, this role will also expose the associate to a variety of different tasks, including liaising with the investor relations team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform market research, competitive analysis, and other ad hoc research as needed for the ongoing/new deals
• Conduct financial projections and analysis for new deals
• Prepare/amend financial models (DCF, LBO)
• Assist in the preparation of investment memorandums, pitch decks and quarterly investor updates and newsletters
• Participate in pitch meetings with investors as required
• Build and maintain relationships with investment partners and investors
• Assist the Directors on due diligence materials required by institutional funders for different projects
• Compile data and prepare reports for investors
• Be involved in a variety of tasks for a deal from initiation to execution across different segments
• Provide support to the Managing Director and perform other related duties and assignments

To succeed in this M&A Associate role, you will need strong financial modelling skills, and a curiosity about company financials. You will need to have a passion for investing and be able to show demonstrated success in your investing track record. You will also need to have a good attitude towards learning.

Key Requirements:

• A good GPA from an undergraduate degree in a business, applied finance, economics or mathematics discipline
• Ability to build a DCF and LBO model from scratch
• Keen interest towards understanding companies
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to speak another Southeast Asian language would be advantageous for this role because the investments and clients are spread across North Asia
