Machining Technician
Job Description
As an On-Site Machining Technician, you'll use mobile machines to work on metal at client sites. Due to the size or complexity of the structures, this work can only be performed on location. Together with a team of engineers, planners, and fellow technicians, you'll create a work plan for each project. On-site, you'll execute tasks, resolve technical issues, and advise the client on the work being performed. Precision is key, ensuring mobile machines are placed correctly to the millimeter. Initially, you'll shadow an experienced technician, and as you gain confidence, you'll take on projects independently. You'll work at various locations in industries such as oil & gas, marine, energy, wind, and heavy industry.
Your Responsibilities:
Line boring, turning, and boring Milling, drilling, and tapping Flange facing,circular milling, pipe cutting Learn other on site services Bolting, Leak Sealing etc
Who we are looking for:
Critical thinking capabilities, with technical insight and affinity. Curiosity about machines and methods for highly specialized metalworking. A desire to develop practical skills and become a true professional. Flexibility to complete projects in the evenings and weekends, both in the Netherlands and abroad. A knack for precision, quality, and organization on-site.
Requirements:
Minimum ITE / Diploma in Mechanical / Mechanical Engineering or related field. Excellent reading comprehension skills. Passion on Field Service Good Communication & Interpersonal skills Superior computer programming skills. Able to travel from time to time for project & regional support, and willing to travel overseas. * Willingness to do shift worker, night shift required
