Operate, adjust, and monitor machinery used in chocolate production (e.g., tempering machines, conches, moulders, enrobers).
Perform preventive maintenance on production equipment as per schedule.
Troubleshoot mechanical faults and repair or replace faulty components (bearings, belts, gears, etc.).
Support machine setup and changeovers to meet production needs.
Maintain accurate maintenance logs and service records.
Follow safety and hygiene standards in compliance with food manufacturing regulations.
Work closely with production operators and engineers to optimize machine performance.
Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machinery.
Use precision tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.) and machining tools (lathes, milling machines) when fabricating or modifying parts.
Requirements:
Technical diploma or certification in Mechanical Engineering, Machining, Industrial Maintenance, or related field.
Have relevant experience as a machining technician or maintenance technician in a manufacturing environment (preferably food or FMCG).
Knowledge of mechanical systems
Proficient in reading mechanical drawings and technical schematics.
Ability to operate machine shop equipment
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
Good understanding of GMP, HACCP, and food safety protocols.
Basic welding and fabrication skills (a plus).
Detail-oriented and quality-focused.
Able to work independently and in a team.
