Job Description


As the leader of the maintenance department, he/she is responsible to lead, direct and overseas the activities of the Maintenance Business unit , which includes but not limited to development and driving the implementation of short term and long term business strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop business strategy and ensure action plans and tactical plans are appropriately cascaded and executed in line with the overall Group business plan.
  • Monitor and review territories performance and work closely with country management on their operational plans to achieve sales/ profit targets and value added financial returns for each market
  • Formulate and execute marketing plans to build long term brand equity in territories
  • To lead bid preparation by analysing and understanding the tender requirements, purpose and strategize the proposals to meet customer business needs
  • Establish and oversee budgets, plan, policies, and program that will effectively implement the business strategies and objectives set by the corporate group
  • Set and monitor the performance of the business unit against standards and targets in areas such as sales revenue, cost control, tax compliance.
  • Implement HSE objectives, policy and company HSE procedures within the authority limit
  • To integrate Risk- based thinking and HSE considerations into business decisions, plans and operations with the commitment to eliminate and reduce HSE hazards, aspects and risks
  • To be proactive in creating a safe working environment for everyone and ensuring that HSE in house rules are observed at all times
  • To consider HSE aspects when planning and carrying out tasks to eliminate and reduce HSE hazards, aspects and risks
  • To oversee all maintenance, installation, repair and operations for routine maintenance, plant shut-down and Turn around works
  • Ensure resource optimization for the team to complete their duties according to budget given
  • Effective communication skills to manage clients and stakeholders engagement
  • Ensure the designated plants and facilities are fit for purpose to provide proactive support / solutions when required
  • Possess excellent problem-solving skills to coach employees ensuring minimal downtime
  • Overall in charge of facilities management department for the company
Requirements
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Min. 15 years experience in maintenance work in the oil and gas / process industry
  • Very knowledgeable in process plant maintenance and ability to manage multiple projects
  • Exposure in maintenance business ideally in EPC environment
  • Experience in managing profit and loss for the business unit
  • Willing to base in Jurong Island
