What's the role As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will provide technical support, carry out hands-on maintenance and coordinates mechanical maintenance work in Production Unit (PU). The role assures that activities on the weekly schedule, emergencies or assigned non routine maintenance work are executed with quality and efficiency and in compliance to the site Health, Safety and Environment requirements. Your accountabilities include the following: Deliver maintenance execution of static equipment in the PU. Perform equipment troubleshooting and providing feedback to custodian. Maximizing the productivity of the contractor. Implementation of LEAN. Ensure Safety, Reliability/quality & optimum cost during maintenance execution. Ensure compliance of mechanical engineering practices and assets with statutory obligations, Engineering Codes of Practices and Shell DEP (Design and Engineering Practice) standards. Monitor and feedback on the maintenance effectiveness process and take corrective action if required. Uses GSAP as a tool to manage maintenance execution. Accountability targets on duration, cost, and safety. Execute plant changes and minor projects meeting HSE requirements, budget, and schedule. Manage the activities in the hard week schedule, adopting small adjustments or deviations where necessary. Analyze and trouble-shoot mechanical problems. Report on recurring problems/breakdowns. Update and Maintain Spares Inventory. Planning for Emergency and Schedule Breaker Work orders. Plan / execute / obtain resources, materials, services, and equipment for E and SB priority work repairs. GSAP administration of time sheets, service, purchase, and material orders. Use TRACK system to enter all the resources man hrs. Review and communicate daily / weekly schedule assignments with workforce ensure safe and efficient completion of assigned work. Lead in daily maintenance schedule execution. Liaise with/consults Operations, Technology, other Engineering and Procurement departments as part of the execution of jobs. Perform end of day schedule progress. Ensure completion of QA / QC and condition reports. Field presence and supervisor of maintenance contractor (craft productivity and quality of work) for effective and efficient execution. Feedback jobs that roll-over into next week(s) to the scheduler. Feedback to maintenance planning and scheduling. Identify risks for not achieving schedule and taking mitigating action, keeping maintenance team lead informed. Timely request to operations for maintenance permitting. Work with Execution contractors to verify ePTW and submission timely for planned soft week review. Perform shutdown management - planning, preparation & execution. What we need from you To succeed in this role, you will have: Diploma/Degree in mechanical engineering with 5-7 years of experience, minimum 3-4 years of which is in engineering/maintenance of rotating & static equipment (experience in oil and gas industry is an advantage). Good understanding of the various international mechanical engineering standards. Troubleshooting skills, RCA, Causal Learning, Defect Elimination, etc. Ability to work independently and yet participate as a member of a multidiscipline team. You will feature strengths as an energetic and collaborative team member, demonstrating proactive self-learner working behavior. Knowledge of GSAP and Global Asset Mechanical Execution processes would be an added advantage.
