JOB DESCRIPTION Our client is actively searching for a Manager, Advancement & Alumni, Alumni Giving and Outreach to join their team!

Reporting to the Assistant Director, this position will assist the Division in implementing University\'s strategy for fostering excellent alumni relations and manage Alumni Giving. Working closely with the team, he/she will help develop alumni engagement initiatives as well as plan and implement alumni programmes and activities to increase the depth and diversity of University\'s relationships with its alumni community and Identify alumni who will be targeted for gifts. Collaborating closely with the team, the successful candidate will work towards maximising the interest of future alumni, alumni and donors in further advaning University\'s vision and mission.

The responsibilities of this role are:

Alumni Giving:

  • Develop, execute and manage innovative and meaningful fundraising appeals targeted at alumni and graduating students (Alumni Giving).
  • Drive and coordinate giving campaign reaching out to graduating class through digital marketing, events, roadshows and collaboration with others divisons to promote the case of support
  • Must have the ability to initiate the campaign and carry it to completion and be able to handle many details in a well-organized and focused manner.
  • Support gift renewals and upgrades for the donor segment.
  • Oversee, manage and recruit alumni and student\'s leaders to support alumni giving campaigns and to ensure that they are purposefully engaged and nurtured as advocates for Alumni Giving
  • Develop and manage a signature event for Alumni to bring back
  • Assist in conceptualising and developing effective marketing and publicity collaterals in consultation with team members.
  • In collaboration with Advancement colleagues, ensure all donors who support the University through the alumni giving programmes are provided with exemplary stewardship, and where appropriate, develop new initiatives to recognise, acknowledge and inform annual giving donors across all giving levels
Alumni Relations & Outreach
  • Work closely and support with other Advancement and Alumni (A&A) team members in the management of events and workshops.
  • Collaborate and build partnership with other divisions on programmes that engage alumni through multiple channels such as academic programmes and events.
  • Plan and manage work processes related to the pre-event, on-site and post-event programme in collaboration with other A&A staff, alumni and student leaders.
  • Manage alumni benefits and services with other administrative duties.
  • Maintain and update records of forthcoming events and track alumni attendance at events.
  • Conduct post-event surveys; analyse results and make recommendations for improvement for future events.
  • Perform other duties and manage projects as required by the Division to futher University\'s Advancement & Alumni work.
The ideal candidate will need to have the following qualities and experience:
  • A recognised degree
  • Minimum 2 years of proven track record in events or relationship management, preferably in an institution of higher learning
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Powerpoint, Word)
  • Experience and good knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (I.e. PhotoShop, Illustrator) and basic video editing skills are added advantages
  • Ability to prioritize and plan work activities in an organized manner, able to multi-task and work under pressure.
  • Pro-active, self-motivated, results-oriented and a good team player
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a genuine interest in developing and cultivating relationships
  • Dynamic team player, positive mindset, active listener, and able to provide constructive feedback
  • Possess good planning, organisation and presentation skills
  • Able to work independently under tight deadlines, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good administrator
  • Knowledge of and adept at using technology, social media and database tools
  • Strong database management skills and ability to produce detailed reports
  • Willingness to work outside office hours as required
