What the role is:Your role is to ensure that the central means-test service (consisting of an IT system as well as manual processing operations) is cost-efficient. You will design and review system and operations solutions/ functions/ services/ processes, especially in the area of household information and processing which is key for means-testing. You will contribute towards the strengthening of Singapore\'s safety nets and a more caring and inclusive society. You do so by ensuring the operations of our central means-test service is efficient and citizen-centric, and by offering creative and sound solutions to partner agencies in their means-testing needs. You will be working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time.What you will be working on:You will manage the costing and funding for the central means-test service such that the service (especially the manual ops) is delivered at cost-efficient and acceptable standards. You will also provide operational oversight on the system functions, services and ops processes, related to the maintenance and determination of accurate households and relationships for means-testing. You will also support the strategic reporting and updates to the Steering Committee and senior management.What we are looking for:

  • At least 2 - 3 years of relevant working experience in the Public Service (Preferred) \xe2\x80\xa2 Possess prior experience working on financial management and budgeting in public service. \xe2\x80\xa2 Experience in strategic financing and cost management. (Preferred) \xe2\x80\xa2 Possess good analytical and solutioning skills. \xe2\x80\xa2 Proficiency with Excel. \xe2\x80\xa2 Attention to details. \xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to plan and prioritise tasks. \xe2\x80\xa2 A team player who demonstrates good interpersonal skills and has high initiative. \xe2\x80\xa2 Motivated and persevering, resourceful and able to work independently and see through projects to completion. \xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to multi-task, handle stress and handle a fast work pace. As part of the shortlisting process for this role, candidates may be required to complete a medical declaration and/or undergo further assessment.
