What the role is:
About Outward Bound Singapore - a division of NYC Outward Bound Singapore (OBS) is a member of Outward Bound International - a global network of Outward Bound schools operating in 34 countries. Established in 1967, OBS is recognised for its leading experience in outdoor education with more than 500,000 people trained. Our staff are highly qualified professionals with an affinity for the outdoors and passion for developing people. As a national training institution, our mission is to develop mentally and physically rugged youths to be active citizens inspired to serve the community.
What you will be working on:
You will be part of the Transformation Strategy team at OBS to assist in OBS' transformation process by supporting units in the following areas: Process Review Analyse workflows across OBS units while working with them to understand their operational needs and requirements Partner with other OBS officers to identify pain points, conduct root cause analysis, and implement practical solutions to streamline operations Establish measurement systems to track improvements and support workflow optimisation, while bringing fresh youth perspectives to enhance service delivery Process Enhancements / Optimisation Design, test and implement process improvements through pilot runs, establishing clear procedures and developing performance metrics to measure effectiveness Support units in exploring new ways of working, maintaining clear documentation while tracking outcomes and refining solutions based on feedback Drive change management through workshops and learning journeys, to support adoption and build a culture of continuous improvement Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation, conduct regular process reviews, and document best practices Provide administrative support to the team including content creation for comms and publicity, and note-taking for meetings.
What we are looking for:
We value diverse talents and experiences. You should demonstrate strength in several of these areas: Experience in managing and analysing data to drive process improvements Proven ability to engage stakeholders and co-create practical solutions Strong critical thinking skills to tackle complex operational challenges Track record in managing projects from conceptualisation to implementation Excellent communication abilities to facilitate change and drive stakeholder alignment Hands-on experience with Generative AI (e.g., ChatGPT) and automation tools (e.g., Power Automate, Power BI) to enhance process efficiency Candidates with experience in process improvement, change management, or public sector operations are preferred. A background in in Business, Operations Management or related fields would be advantageous. Additional requirements due to nature of work and workplace Able to work from any of OBS' campuses / sites (e.g., Pulau Ubin, East Coast Campus, Punggol Reception, Changi, and OBS@Coney in the future).
