Job Description

Baggage Handling System is one of the key critical systems in Changi Airport and plays a crucial role in ensuring that all passengers\' bags are processed and deliver to the aircraft on time.

Being part of Changi Airport Group\'s Engineering and Development Cluster in Baggage Handling System (BHS) team, the Manager shall be required to manage BHS O&M, improvement projects for the existing BHS, which involves project tender evaluation, installation, testing and commissioning. The Manager shall be required to review existing operations and maintenance procedures/policies and to refine or develop new procedures/policies to enhance the efficiency of BHS operations and maintenance.

In addition to coordination with the consultants and contractors, the Manager is required to coordinate closely with authorities, external agencies, consultants, vendors and CAG stakeholders (e.g. Airlines, Ground Handling Agents, CAAS)

Job Responsibilities:

Innovates and explores new technologies that can incorporate into the existing BHS to enhance system operations and maintenance efficiency.

Implements Reliability Centered Maintenance for the BHS.

Perform data analysis

Oversees the cyber security, safety and cost management for the operations and maintenance of the BHS.

Collaborates and manage the Operations and Maintenance Contractors to ensure all system faults are followed up promptly with detailed failure investigation, and maintenance services are conducted to maintain the highest system performance standards.

Responds to BHS failure/fault incident as and when required (24/7).

Upkeeps and ensure compliance with ISO27001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001 and ISO 45001. Carry out the periodic audit process for compliance and recertification.

Upkeeps and ensure compliance with Information Security Management System (ISMS).

Upkeeps and ensure compliance with Critical IT infrastructure (CII) and carry out additional task to conform to regulatory directive, yearly VAPT and associated remedial works and yearly risk management.

Job Requirements:

Degree in one of the following disciplines: Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computing or equivalent.

At least 3-years of engineering knowledge and relevant working experience in automation in material handling or system automation is preferred.

Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

Must have mindset of continuous improvement and innovation

Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication.

Good project management and collaboration/coordination skills.

Must be able to perform night works for maintenance/improvement works, system testing & commissioning, system calibration and corrective maintenance works when required.

Prior experience working in an aviation or Baggage Handling environment is an added advantage.
