Job Description

The Manager will support the overall success of the Financial Planning & Analysis, Controllership and Shared Service functions.The primary responsibilities are:Controllership & Shared Service

• Duties include journal posting, balance sheet reviews, fixed assets, WBS creation & closure, inter-loan reconciliation, Tax-related matters (eg. Taxable benefits, withholding tax & GST), system access processing, dormant account reviews. Update Risk Control Matrix in a timely manner, to highlight areas of concerns for management review.

Grant Claim Administration

• Ensure timely submission of claims in accordance with the agreement. In-charge of both internal and external audits including AUP audits as required by the funding agencies/ministries. To ensure income accrual/billing/grant claims are performed timely.

Budget, Planning & Monitoring

• Perform budgeting, forecast and long-term projections and monitor department\'s budgeted expenditure and ensure that it is in line with directives from the management, with the objective of driving positive financial performance.

Fund planning

• Plan and review resource allocation to support operating and capital budget requirements. To monitor overall cash flow and liquidity and respond to unbudgeted operating and capital budget expenditures requirements through resource re-allocation and/or investment fund redemption. To plan and propose investment and liquidation of funds, to optimise investment income.

Financial and Management Reporting, costing and financial simulation

• Preparation of financial & management reporting. In charge of costing, financial modelling and data analytics and make recommendations where appropriate, to enhance financial sustainability.

Business Partnering

• Provide timely support for all functional related matters and insightful financial data through periodic engagement sessions with department heads and their team with the aim to manage financial sustainability.

Finance Transformation

• To drive finance transformation, in enhancing efficiency of system and processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant working experience.
• Ability to set priorities, complete work with minimal supervision, and meet deadlines, excellent team player who demonstrates flexibility and embraces collaboration. Willing to be hands-on.
• Excellent writing and communication skills, diplomatic in handling internal and external stakeholders, with proven track record in building strong relationships.
• High level of proficiency in Power BI, MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word, good working knowledge of SAP S4HANA is an added advantage.
