Job Description


Purpose:
Manage the Business Application team to support FBAP and all operating companies in the Asia Pacific region. Applications can be Oracle eBusiness Suite and also in-house developed systems. Primary focus of the applications supporting in areas of: Finance Accounting, Contract Management & Billing and Project Accounting.

The key roles and responsibilities are as follows:

  • Oversee a team of business system analysts and extended vendor teams to support regional business applications
  • Ensure the application team provide 24x7 systems support according to Operating Companies\' (OpCo) / FBAP business unit SLA:
  • Manage Oracle eBusiness Suite and in-house developed business applications
  • Manage user change requests and issues resolution in accordance to SLA
  • Initiate, control and report any system or operational deficiencies and recommend areas for improvements
  • Provide periodic reports to reporting manager on team status/project progress
  • Collaborate with database service team to ensure good system performance and implement continuous improvements
  • Oversee the upkeep of the business applications in-charge, including system version-up as per software version released by vendors. This should also be in-line with any new version-up due to security patching or new features released by vendors (be it operating systems, application, database)
  • Oversee the utilisation of new features released for applications to improve the day to day running of the systems. Ensure sharing of new feature release with internal team & users to promote the use of such business applications
  • Ensure smooth project delivery in accordance to project KPIs:
  • Manage a series of new implementation / enhancement projects
  • Plan and manage business applications projects accordingly to well-planned schedules and within operation budget constraints and deadlines
  • Liaison with in-house users, other Information & Communication Technology (ICT) functions/sections (e.g., infrastructure & operations team) and external vendors
  • Monitor and track project progress/activities to ensure success implementation of projects
  • Promote collaborative work environment within the team, across teams as well as the OpCo local IM teams in the region
  • Collaborate with business subject matter experts (SMEs) to drive standardisation in work and system processes, to propose total business solutions meeting business needs/requirements
  • Other duties as assigned
To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications, skills and experiences:
  • Degree in Computer Science / Engineering or IT related fields
  • At least 10 years information management experience in MNC
  • At least 5 years of project management experience
  • At least 5 years of managing in-house support team and vendor management
  • Familiar with IT SDLC and multiple deployment experience of Oracle eBusiness Suite to MNC, or equivalent ERP systems
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in business as well as technical writing / documentation
  • Good knowledge in application deployment & solutioning
  • Good analytical / problem-solving skills
  • People oriented and collaborative, with proven experience working with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Customer focused and have business sense
  • Decisive, planning, organisation and leadership
  • Change adaptability, flexible, able to work under pressure or tight deadlines
