DESIGNATION : Manager, Corporate Finance

RESPONSIBILITIES
Summary We are looking for a Manager level to join the Corporate Finance team, to be based in Singapore. This role will play an important role to aid in the strategic growth of the Company. You will be working closely with an experienced fast paced team and be involved in discussions regarding the Company’s capital structure, hedging portfolio and funding opportunities. The role demands strong business acumen within the shipping industry, analytical skills and attention to detail. You should have excellent interpersonal skills to communicate with management and various stakeholders. The main responsibilities of the role include, but not limited to: Funding & Working Capital

  • Secure debt funding to finance Company’s strategic initiatives, which includes but not limited to:
  • Carrying out in-depth research and financial analysis on counterparty and sector
  • Development of financial model
  • Preparation of presentation materials to financial institutions and internal stakeholders
  • Forecast Company’s and joint ventures’ medium to long-term funding & liquidity requirements
  • Evaluation of key financial covenants for vessel loan agreements and tenders to secure new time charters
  • Maintain banking and key stakeholders relationships to ensure access to funding
Portfolio Management
  • Managing derivative portfolios
  • Managing collateral requirements in loan portfolios
  • Identifying potential refinancing opportunities for debt portfolios
  • Evaluating alternative funding opportunities
Risk Management
  • Manage Company’s interest rate risk through monitoring interest rate exposure and environment
  • Assess and evaluate any other financial risks and ensure robust risk reporting
Management Reporting
  • Prepare timely and accurate Management & Board reports, on matters relating but limited to:
  • Risk management recommendations
  • Fleet valuations & financial covenants
  • Hedging overview
  • Liquidity forecast
Others
  • Conduct credit review and credit risk management on counterparty
  • Provide leadership to junior team members in producing financial reports and documentation
  • Assist in other ad-hoc projects and general administrative duties
  • Actively participate in the development of the quality management system and engage in the process for the continuous improvement of departmental procedures


QUALIFICATIONS
  • Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related professional certificate
  • 5 – 8 years of experience in Finance
  • Proficient in financial modelling and comfortable dealing with large amounts of data
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Meticulous, attention to details, committed and able to work well under pressure to meet tight deadlines
  • Highly driven and initiates to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Proficient in IT, including MS PowerPoint, MS Excel etc
