Job Summary

  • Short Term Assignment: Role exists only for 6 month s
  • The successful candidate will lead Wealth Management & Affluent Segment analytics initiatives to build data pipelines, datamarts, dashboard and deliver analytics & insights to CPBB MT.
  • The candidate will work closely with Business, Technology, Compliance, ICS and other Functions in SCB.
  • Accountable for design and implementation of business data quality control, user access control, functional reconciliations
  • Leading BI/Reporting function for Wealth Product and Affluent Segment of CPBB with the focus on reporting and client insights.
  • Extend analytics support spanning across entire gamut of business (Customer Acquisition, Portfolio Management, New Product Development).
  • Drive self-serve adoption across analytics & business user community.
  • Interact with business divisions and analytics function to understand their business requirements and translate them into data requirements (data, data structures and data model requirement) for Infrastructure Teams.
  • Lead the effort on business data - understand business data requirements, explore data sources, reconcile outcome, establish business logics and curate data dictionaries, etc.
  • Enabling customer satisfaction by providing quality service, submitted in a timely manner and communicated effectively
  • Continuous Improvement in Productivity to the standards prescribed from time to time
  • Continually reviewing all assigned processes to identify opportunities for quality and process design improvement
Role Responsibilities
  • As Data Analytics Manager, the candidate will lead Wealth Management and Affluent Segment data analytics initiatives to build data pipelines, datamarts, dashboard and deliver analytics & insights to CPBB MT.
  • Accountable for design and implementation of global Wealth Management Datamarts, business data quality control, user access control, functional reconciliations
  • Leading BI/Reporting function for Wealth Management & Affleunt segment of CPBB.
  • Drive self-serve adoption across analytics & business user community.
  • Interact with business divisions and analytics function to understand their business requirements and translate them into data requirements (data, data structures and data model requirement) for Infrastructure Teams.
  • Lead the effort on business data - understand business data requirements, explore data sources, reconcile outcome, establish business logics and curate data dictionaries, global standard datamart creation, etc.
  • Enabling customer satisfaction by providing quality service, submitted in a timely manner and communicated effectively
  • Continuous Improvement in Productivity to the standards prescribed from time to time
  • Continually reviewing all assigned processes to identify opportunities for quality and process design improvement
  • Collaborate with external partners to explore data for insights and growth opportunities. Translate analytic insights into concrete, actionable recommendations for business or product improvement
  • Able to optimally function within an Agile environment
Own the business logical design and delivery of datamarts & dashboards and insights with the focus on client interactions through various channels:
  • Identify business use cases, e.g. reporting, Analytics, AI modelling, client engagement, campaigns, etc.
  • Scope data sources and understanding data structures from each data sources
  • Data ingestion requirements and planning to EDMp T1
  • Enterprise data modelling design
  • Standard and unified data consumption layer design
  • Various testing
  • Curation of data catalogue for CPBB Analyst communities and promote self-serve capabilities
  • Data pipelines to downstream use cases & applications
  • Enterprise BI reporting design
  • Ensure future data and MIS requirements, and delivery roadmap is robust and complete
  • Drive the transformation to global standard report delivery including business KPI definitions, report design / visualization, user adoptions and etc.
  • Strong data governance and control

  • The candidate should have strategic mindset and the ability design and implement Data and BI strategies for CPBB in the context of overall CPBB strategy.
  • The candidate should also be well versed of Data Analytics industry trends and new technologies.

  • Manage Business BAU delivery of standard and consumable data and reporting capabilities with focus on Wealth Management and Affluent Segmetn; Deliver insights to help shape strategy across a wide spectrum of business and technology areas; Provide guidance and thought-leadership on analytical best practices to team members and business partners; Collaborate with external partners to explore data for insights and growth opportunities. Translate analytic insights into concrete, actionable recommendations for business or product improvement

  • Being a change agent in Business Analytics; challenging status quo; never settles. Lead the effort to build a strong and capable team in GBS off-shore center

Our Ideal Candidate
  • Strong Quantitative background: advance degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related data centric field. etc.
  • Strong analytical skills with business analysis experience or equivalent. In-depth knowledge and understanding of financial-services/ banking-operations and wealth management is a must.
  • 8+ years of experience in building domain oriented global datamarts from data sourcing, KPI definition, to implementation and building reporting and insight analytics.
  • Strong understanding of Wealth Products and consumer banking products is a must
  • Deep experience developing successful data & BI platforms and solution to business problems
  • Proven track record of solving ambiguous and highly complex data problems.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Must be able to explain technical concepts and analysis implications clearly to a wide and senior audience, and be able to translate business objectives into actionable analysis
  • Ability to design processes and procedures which are continually reviewed, improved and changes communicated for effective implementation, with consensus of key leaders in the wider organization
  • Ability to understand and connect business drivers and rationale for and application of those relevant to the Retail business.
  • Technical skills - datamart design, SAS, SQL, Python, Tableau or MicroStrategy
