JOB SUMMARY

The Manager, Engineering will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the following Marriott engineering operations systems: Hotel Renovation Program, CAP \xe2\x80\x93 Climate Action Program, MESH \xe2\x80\x93 Marriott Environmental Sustainability Hub, FLS \xe2\x80\x93 Fire Life Safety quarterly audit, TR \xe2\x80\x93 Transcendent preventive maintenance portal. Additionally, he or she provides relevant admin support to APEC engineering as well as for VP Engineering & Facility.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Qualification

  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering; or equivalent industry experience.
  • Mandatory 2+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in any of these fields: data management, MEP engineering, HVAC operations, facility consulting, facility management, building technology, and facilities operation.
  • Exceptional customer service traits \xe2\x80\x93 positive attitude, attentiveness, responsiveness, friendliness, and approachability.
Skills and Knowledge
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively train, motivate, and support various stakeholders.
  • Strong data management and problem-solving skills including mathematical reasoning, data modeling, data analysis, analytical thinking, critical thinking, and attention to detail.
  • Advance skill level in Microsoft Excel and Power BI. Strong ability in other Microsoft applications.
  • Solid administrative, presentation, training, and program reporting skills.
  • Effective time management and adaptability \xe2\x80\x93 able to periodically work under pressure within tight timeline to meet specific goals.
  • General knowledge of building operations: electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and general building practices.
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

Responsibility
  • Lead hotel renovation program to ensure that all hotel renovation status is up-to-date. Publish regional renovation dashboard to demonstrate hotel renovation compliance level.
  • Champion Marriott\xe2\x80\x99s Climate Action Program (CAP). Act as program ambassador to train and distribute CAP information to all APEC hotels.
  • Manage the Marriott Environment and Sustainability Hub (MESH) to ensure that the organization is meeting all environmental and sustainability goals and requirements. Manage and scrutinize MESH data putting in by hotels to achieve the highest possible accuracy and validation.
  • Publish result and follow up hotels on quarterly Fire Life Safety audit practice.
  • Drive results on the Transcendent engineering preventive maintenance application to ensure that all engineering processes and procedures are being followed correctly. Identify training gaps and raise to Area Director of Engineering for proper training execution.
  • Act as the first line of training and support for APEC hotels and Marriott engineering associates on all the above engineering platforms.
  • Develop and maintain reporting for engineering operations, including the Maintenance and Upkeep score report, to ensure that all engineering activities are running efficiently and effectively. This includes tracking, ranking, and developing actions plans for high energy or water consuming hotels.
  • Manage the engineering share point which contains all important information for hotel engineering.
  • Manage all meeting schedules, as well as travel logistics for the Vice President of Engineering.
  • Assist Area Director of Engineering in developing training programs on energy conservation as well as other conservation programs.
