What the role is:We are looking for a Design Manager to be involved in the design review & advisory process of building projects from the Planning & Design stage. You will perform the role of Project Advisor from the inception of the project i.e. Master Planning stage until handover to our FM Operations and Maintenance team. You are also required to work closely with our Customers, Project Managers, Design Consultants and Contractors to embed the Technical, Planning and Design reviews of the project from functional, operational and maintenance Perspective.What you will be working on:Review & Advisory of the following: - Management of the Project Process from the Design to Handing over/ Taking over Project Brief, Consultants scope, Selection process, Users Requirements and Project formation Planning, Design and Construction requirements from the performance & functional, maintenance and operations\' perspective; Planning, Design and Construction reviews based on best adapted practises of the industry on building Project- functional, constructability, maintenance and operation Detail Design and Construction Proposals reviews based on Design for Maintenance, Design for Manufacturing & Assembly, Life Cycle Costing, Maintenance Strategy, Design for Safety, Quality assurances, authorities requirements and , best practices and requirements To perform site inspections & reviews to all assigned properties, equipment and estates to ensure compliance with regards to quality, maintenance, operations, safety and environmental requirements set by JTC and other Government Authorities or Agencies; Plan & Prepare for Maintenance and Operations strategy Involved in Testing & commissioning process to ensure operational and maintenance intent are met as planned Manage the Defects Liability Period with the Project Team Manage the Operations and Maintenance Process after taking over the project Advisory on Tenancy layouts, fit outs and fitting out works for their new units for landlord requirements compliances; Proactively engage with project stakeholders to come up with workable solutions that take into account maintainability, cost and tenant operations. Drive discussions on FM operations to ensure buildings are operating efficiently Manage contracts with FMC management team, Variation Process, and Administration of budgets. Conduct regular reviews & advise and updates of processes, development of new processes where required and procedures such as Work forms, ISO, SOPs, checklists, etc. and to ensure continued efficiency and effectiveness; related to Planning & Design of the Projects in relation to Operations and Maintenance Documentation of learning points and input into the Work Process, review and conduct process improvements throughout the lifecycle of the project and operations for continuance learningWhat we are looking for:
