What the role is:The Finance and Facilities Division (FFD) is responsible for the Ministry\'s financial matters, procurement management and facilities development and management. FFD promotes proper stewardship of the Ministry\'s resources by applying best practices across its various functions. The Finance Branch provides financial stewardship and partnership by optimising resource allocation and management, in addition to delivering sound financial administration. The Financial Operations - Policies Team oversees financial policies and processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness, as well as compliance to various financial controls requirements.What you will be working on:We are looking for a proactive and dynamic individual to join the Financial Operations - Policies Team. The ideal candidate should possess a keen eye for detail and the ability to work independently with minimal guidance. Responsibilities include overseeing revenue management, accounts receivables, banking matters, and providing support in managing fixed assets within the Ministry. You are expected to: \xe2\x80\xa2 Understand the Government Instruction Manual on Financial Control, conduct reviews on governance and controls, and establish internal procedures for continuous improvement of the Ministry\'s financial operations. \xe2\x80\xa2 Support the execution of financial operations such as revenue collection, bank account management etc. \xe2\x80\xa2 Manage statutory and internal audits, interpret findings, and implement necessary corrective or preventive actions. \xe2\x80\xa2 Prepare and submit returns to other government agencies such as MOF and AGD. \xe2\x80\xa2 Manage the virtual corporate transport programme \xe2\x80\xa2 Conduct data analytics to identify anomalies. \xe2\x80\xa2 Provide support in managing the Ministry\'s fixed assets. \xe2\x80\xa2 Oversee the performance of outsourced service providers. \xe2\x80\xa2 Undertake any other assigned tasks.What we are looking for:Competencies require \xe2\x80\xa2 At least 3 years of relevant experience in a large organization, preferably with a degree in Accountancy or related courses of study \xe2\x80\xa2 Data analytical experience which will be vital in the reviews on governance and controls \xe2\x80\xa2 Good communication and interpersonal skills \xe2\x80\xa2 Meticulous, resourceful and resilient \xe2\x80\xa2 Self-driven and a team playerAbout Ministry Of Social And Family Development:\xe2\x80\x9cWe are Professionals with Passion for People\xe2\x80\x9d The Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) develops the \xe2\x80\x9cheartware\xe2\x80\x9d for Singapore through our policies, community infrastructure, programmes and services.
