The Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) & Controllership manager will support the overall reporting and controllership function for the Faculty of Law. Job function includes financial planning and analysis functions such as the preparation of budget, forecast and long-term projections, management reporting to department heads and board members. Controllership functions include fixed assets, balance sheet reviews, dormant account reviews, enterprise structure review, system access and approval matrix maintenance.
The primary responsibilities are:
Budget, Planning & Monitoring
Perform budgeting, forecast and long-term projections and to monitor department\'s budgeted expenditure and ensure that it is in line with directives from the management.
Fund planning
Plan and review resource allocation to support operating and capital budget requirements. To monitor overall cash flow and liquidity and respond to unbudgeted operating and capital budget expenditures requirements through resource re-allocation and/or investment fund redemption. To plan and propose investment and liquidation of funds.
Financial and Management Reporting and financial simulation
Preparation of financial & management reporting for Finance Committee, Governing Board, Steering Committee or any other meetings for management. To perform financial modelling and data analytics and make recommendations where appropriate.
Business Partnering
Provide insightful financial data through periodic engagement sessions with department heads and their team with the aim to manage financial sustainability.
Financial Governance, Financial Risk Management and Control
Drive risk management around financial processes, ensuring that the financial processes are well-controlled and efficient.
Controllership
Duties include grant claim administration, audit administration, fixed assets, system access & approval matrix maintenance, enterprise structure review, dormant accounts & balance sheet account review.
