Job Description

The Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) & Controllership manager will support the overall reporting and controllership function. Job function includes financial planning and analysis functions such as the preparation of budget, forecast and long-term projections, management reporting to department heads and board members and benchmarking and financial performance management. Controllership functions include journal posting, balance sheet reviews, dormant account reviews, enterprise structure review, account reconciliation, risk control matrix-related work, WBS creation & closure, grant claim submission & audit, system access and fixed assets.

The primary responsibilities are:

Budget, Planning & Monitoring

• Perform budgeting, forecast and long-term projections and to monitor department\'s budgeted expenditure and ensure that it is in line with directives from the management, with the objective of driving positive financial performance.

Fund planning

• Plan and review resource allocation to support operating and capital budget requirements. To monitor overall cash flow and liquidity and respond to unbudgeted operating and capital budget expenditures requirements through resource re-allocation and/or investment fund redemption. To plan and propose investment and liquidation of funds, to optimise investment income.

Financial and Management Reporting and financial simulation

• Preparation of financial & management reporting for Finance Committee, Governing Board, Steering Committee or any other meetings for management. To perform financial modelling and data analytics and make recommendations where appropriate, to enhance financial sustainability.

Business Partnering

• Provide timely support and insightful financial data through periodic engagement sessions with department heads and their team with the aim to manage financial sustainability.

Financial Governance, Financial Risk Management and Control

• Drive risk management around financial processes, ensuring that the financial processes are well-controlled and efficient. Update Risk Control Matrix in a timely manner.

Controllership

• Duties include Controllership functions include journal posting, balance sheet reviews, dormant account reviews, enterprise structure review, account reconciliation, risk control matrix-related work, WBS creation & closure, grant claim submission & audit, system access, fixed assets.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of working experience, preferably with audit experience
• Strong analytical skills with ability to set priorities, complete work with minimal supervision, and meet deadlines
• Excellent writing and communication skills
• Diplomatic in handling internal and external stakeholders, with proven track record in building strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders at various level
• High level of proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word, good working knowledge of SAP S4HANA is an added advantage
• Excellent team player who demonstrates flexibility and embraces collaboration
