Job Purpose

The Fund Transfer Pricing (FTP) and Capital Management team establish and maintain the FTP framework of Great Eastern Life, ensuring it aligns with the company\'s financial strategy, and set appropriate transfer prices for various functions. The team also implements the company\'s capital strategies to optimise the capital structure and overall financial health of Great Eastern Life.

The Job

1. Capital Management:

- Monitor the company\xe2\x80\x99s liquidity and capital position to ensure solvency and compliance with regulatory requirements.

- Implement capital management strategies to optimize the company\'s capital structure.

- Participate in annual capital planning exercise, collaborate with various business units (in Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia) to assess capital needs, align business and product strategies, and identify risks and opportunities associated with the capital projection.

- Analyze and forecast the company\'s capital and solvency position.

- Participate in Business Planning and Group Stress Testing and project the investment returns and assets-related risk charges.

- Support the company\xe2\x80\x99s financial reporting.

- Construct and manage the company\xe2\x80\x99s Matching Adjustment portfolios.

2. Fund Transfer Pricing (FTP):

- Develop and maintain the company\'s FTP framework, ensuring alignment with the company\'s overall financial strategy and insurance value creation chain.

- Apply the FTP framework and attribute total comprehensive income into various functions such as investment and ALM.

- Report and monitor the FTP performance to continuously optimize the risk and return of the balance sheet through clear accountability and segregation of responsibilities.

- Ensure transparency and accuracy in FTP reporting to senior management and relevant stakeholders.

\xc2\xb7 Takes accountability in considering business and regulatory compliance risks and takes appropriate steps to mitigate the risks.

\xc2\xb7 Maintains awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and technologies in order to understand the risk and better safeguard the company.

Qualifications

Our Requirements

\xc2\xb7 Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Actuarial science, Mathematics, Finance, or a related field.

\xc2\xb7 4 to 6 years of experience in actuarial related roles, with a focus on capital management and/or valuation.

\xc2\xb7 Good progress in professional actuarial qualification (e.g., FSA, FIA, or equivalent).

\xc2\xb7 In-depth knowledge of capital requirements and accounting standards for insurers in Singapore, and familiarity with trends in capital requirements and accounting standards for insurers globally.

\xc2\xb7 Strong problem solving and analytical skills.

\xc2\xb7 Familiar with Data Analytics tools such as Python and SQL.

\xc2\xb7 Demonstrates alignment with the organisation\xe2\x80\x99s core values through expected behaviours.

\xc2\xb7 High level of integrity, takes accountability of work and good attitude over teamwork.
