ROLES AND RESPONSBILITIES

• Provide support, expertise and consultation to all departments on WSH related matters

• Develop and Implement WSH implementation plan to improve WSH performance and achieve organization targets.

• Develop WSH capability (Eg: Training) to ensure that the Business Unit is supported to meet its accountabilities

• Upkeep Business Unit WSH Implementation Plan including ensuring Bus’ development of procedures and training to support the organisation Certifications on bizSAFE Level 3.

• Conduct accident/incident investigation, recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

• Conduct inspection (Eg: Workplace/SDC’s Development Projects) to rectify any unsafe practices & conditions.

• Analyse performance trends and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Prepare for SSRC Meeting.

• Be responsible for any other duties that may be assigned by management.
  

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational health, safety, engineering or equivalent

• Minimum of 5-6 years of relevant occupational safety, health and environmental experience

• Possess knowledge and practical experience relating to Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Act and other statutory requirements/code of practices

• Other professional health and safety training certificate and/or prior construction safety experience will be an added advantage

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Excellent analytical, problem solving and organization skills.

• Good team player, self-motivated with strong ability to multitask and able to handle fast-paced projects

• Able to collaborate with relevant external authorities and parties
