Job Summary
Being responsible for the xScale business model with D&C and the site teams, educating and supporting as they move from a building under construction to a live Datacenter. Assisting in customer related technical queries and supporting site teams on technical topics.

Responsibilities 1. Support of IBX Design

  • Supporting the xScale design team on Operational requirements or enhancements
  • Advise xScale team on operational impact of changes & specifications specifically related to customer change requests
2. Support Sales & Customer Fit-Out
  • Represent Global Operations towards the Customer, xScale, SE & GAM teams.
  • Work on customer RFI /RFP and contractual documents for customers and give technical guidance to the team
  • Coordinate with the IBX team and global CoE\xe2\x80\x99s on the specifications and approvals.
3. Support Construction of IBX & hand-off to OPS
  • Ensure global consistency in the way Operations works with D&C in xScale deliveries
  • Provide specific product support for xScale customers
  • Being a SME to territory/country IBX team
4. Systems Support
  • Develops knowledge of and learns business systems (e.g., Siebel fulfilment, Remedy) within Equinix to assist site team to ensure required assets are captured and properly mapped between systems.
5. Product Support
  • Support the product team on new customer requirements to adjust existing products or defining a new product
  • Support the site teams on technical specifications of the individual products
6. Documentation
  • Assists in capturing technical variances by country or region as a result of country governance or legislation, helps then educate the rest of the xScale stakeholders in what these variances are and when they need to be considered in regard to customers contracts
7. Training
  • Providing support in cross functional projects in how to capture technical differences between Retail and xScale that impact anyone that has an involvement with an xScale site
  • Briefing Sites on trackers available and how they can be used to their advantage
8. Cross Functional Support
  • Take part in cross functional conversations in order to learn and grow the xScale model

Qualifications
  • Engineering background (certified Engineer preferred)
  • Previous experience within the workings of a data centre would be an advantage
  • Working in cross functional groups
  • Good English skills
  • Additional language skills would also be helpful
