Develop and maintain accurate and updated Collection database across multiple database systems, including data entry, cleansing and actively publishing the data on Gallery\xe2\x80\x99s Online Collections Search Portal (
) and other platforms. * Responsible for designing an effective SOP, policies and manuals relating to information storage and sharing across different platforms and parties within and beyond the Gallery.
Responsible for generating and managing accurate statistics of the Collection as well as reports tracking its usage to effectively measure the level of utilisation and public recognition of the Collection.
Oversee clearance of copyright license for the Collection and other related materials. Handle negotiations with stakeholders in a sensible manner informed by understanding of regional context while adhering to policies, international museum practice and guidelines.
Facilitate internal and external requests for use of artwork images in the Collection.
Identify gaps and opportunities for increasing digital accessibility of the Collection. Develop new projects or enhancements to existing systems, work with internal stakeholders and vendors to execute in an effective manner.
Instruct and supervise other staff members, researchers, and interns on procedures and aspects relating to copyright, image-use and publishing Collection data online.
Conduct research on assigned topics relating to collections, copyright and digital platforms in a museological context.
Handle ad-hoc assignments as and when required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Arts Management, Museum Studies, Information Management or equivalent experience with a strong interest in the arts.
4-6 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience working in a related area in the arts industry.
Knowledge of digital collections management systems.
Understanding of artist/artwork-related copyright law and principles desirable.
Highly organized, self-directed, and with strong attention to detail.
Excellent time management, problem solving and analytical skills.
Must possess cultural sensitivity and understanding for diverse communities.
A team player who is resourceful and able to multi-task.
Possess interpersonal, communication and writing skills. Proficiency in a second language will be an advantage.
