This role will be a critical position, partnering with the Senior Manager, Marketing Strategy as we prepare to create magic at sea in Southeast Asia. You will be a crucial part of establishing the market strategy for the Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia markets to successfully introduce and sustain Disney Cruise Line\xe2\x80\x99s newest ship Disney Adventure to sail from Singapore beginning in 2025.

Marketing strategy will play a prominent role in the expansion, leading strategic marketing for the Singapore, Malaysian and Indonesian markets. You will have strong integration with sales and communication teams to pave the way for a successful market entry.

This role will be responsible to lead the marketing strategy for Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia, working hand in hand with the Sr Manager Marketing Strategist, Director of Marketing and Director Of Sales. You will establish a clearly defined annual go to market strategy for your key markets. You will understand the nuances of each country and how to motivate key target groups. You will have a deep understanding of consumer travel behaviours and seasonality. You will have a strong working knowledge of each markets media mix and will work with communications discipline partners to drive effective communication strategies that motivates the consumer through the purchase funnel of awareness, product understanding and conversion.

You should be an energetic, proactive, self-starter with experience working within a large-scale travel industry business. Candidates must work well in teams and possess the ability to work in a collaborative environment and across time zones.

Responsibilities:

In this role, you will:

Lead complex target audience work, determining the opportunity and demand potential across Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia and key consumer segments, informing commercial plans and communication strategy. Acting as a key contributor within the Marketing team to develop work that will generate and convert demand

  • Partner with consumer insights teams to interpret demand data specific to Malaysia and Indonesia. Identifying target consumer groups to unlock business demand
  • Have a clear understanding of market seasonality, along with consumer travel behaviour and booking periods to clearly understand where to \xe2\x80\x9cpush / pull\xe2\x80\x9d within the Singapore, Malaysian and Indonesian markets
  • Partner with Senior Manager Marketing Strategy and Director of Marketing along with US based Sr Marketing manager to consider how brand positioning, creative direction should be adjusted for market appeal. Reflecting this creative strategy within all go to market communications to ensure it is grounded in strong consumer and cultural insights
  • Develop marketing plans that build broad awareness and understanding of the product, drives excitement and stimulates demand from pre-launch through set sail and beyond
  • Understand product, price, positioning and placement of message to drive the commercial engine
  • Unite with Travel Industry sales functioning as a seamless team to create a holistic marketing & sales approach to the markets
  • Protect bookings by preparing consumers for their sailings with pre-arrival communication that ensures a smooth arrival and excellent guest experience
  • Partner with DCL business leaders to identify and launch initial commercial opportunities beyond ticket revenue that are highly compelling and stimulate greater share of wallet
  • Maintain key KPI metrics across marketing performance
  • Demonstrate maturity and ability to manage numerous stakeholders as well as efficiently work across time zone
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a leadership capacity developing marketing strategy and communications
  • Previous work experience in brand management, marketing strategy, travel industry, consumer package goods, strategy
  • Keen understanding of the Singapore, Malaysian and Indonesian markets
  • Significant experience in managing complex projects in a fast-paced environment reliant upon successful collaboration and integration of key stakeholders.
  • Exceptional knowledge of all facets of marketing across paid, earned, and owned
  • Proven critical thinking skills, foundational to strategic planning
  • Experience in project management and driving ideas into action
  • Skilled at building effective partner relationships and influencing peers, partners and leaders
  • Experience in integrating with sales distribution partners to ensure an integrate Marketing & Sales approach
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, plus superior professionalism
  • Advanced presentation skills and proven track record of influencing executive audiences
  • Skilled at understanding performance metrics to assess & optimize programs
  • Travel Industry experience highly desired
Required Education:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree or equivalent
Preferred Education:
  • MBA or strong business experience and background
