Job Details As part of JCH Global Supply chain team, work together with manufacturing, global procurement, IT, supply chain planning and finance to drive material planning process for all manufacturing locations The Material Management & Control Lead will own the Global Material Planning & Management process to help business units achieve higher service level by improving material availability, production plan, inter-company & material allocation plan and participate in supply review meetings to align all stake holders on operational plan linked to business objectives. This role will drive the Material Management and Control process that delivers the products and services at the lowest total system costs while meeting highest level of customers and consumers satisfaction and at optimal investment in inventory. It also lead global projects to standardize and streamline material management process across all factories. Proactively design and drive material allocations for critical materials on a case-to-case basis. Deliver on Fill rate/OTIF, Compliance to production plan, Production plan fidelity;

  • Material Availability: In-stock availability of materials as per future consumption plan.
  • Inventory Management \xe2\x80\x93Develop and execute the roadmap for RM/component inventory optimization at manufacturing unit level. Drive inventory as per the guidelines agreed with the management. KPIs to be delivered: Inventory turns & E&O
  • Supply Chain transformation \xe2\x80\x93 Work with IT function to implement best technology driven practices in supply planning. Drive & Execute Global SC transformation projects (Integrated Supply Chain Solution, SAP, Lean DNA etc.) in close coordination with Global Supply Chain, Sale & Marketing and Manufacturing team. KPIs to be delivered: Roll out of SC tools as planned
  • Reporting and Analytics \xe2\x80\x93 Publish & report KPI dashboard to track progress vs plan on a weekly/ monthly basis. Build a framework for root cause analysis for variance vs plan for key KPIs. Provide support for MIS (as per requirement) and presentations for key meetings (presentations for SC meet, Quarterly/Annual review meetings etc.) Work with Global Supply Chain team on consolidating and analyzing key KPIs.
How you will do it:
  • Design & execute robust Material Management and Control processes with KPIs to be measured to drive business growth and deliver the process through cross functional collaboration and alignments
  • Lead discussion with Global procurement team to resolve shortage issues of critical components/RM and also handle escalations to resolve material shortage issues
  • Deliver improvements in material planning accuracy and material availability to achieve higher service level at optimal inventory
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, global procurement, in factory supply chain team to ensure availability of materials as per desired stock norm delivering higher compliance to production plan
  • Drive Inventory Management of RM/components & WIP by setting inventory policy and guidelines and ensuring execution through a standard process
  • Work with IT to ensure setting up of standard master database for materials across all factories
  • Lead Global transformational projects like Global Supply Chain Hub2, Material management in SAP, Lean DNA etc. to drive standardization of process across all factories
  • Lead material management process including MRP, Shortage issues resolution across all factories
  • Drive Material review meetings to ensure alignment on operation plan in the short to medium term and resolution of critical material shortage issues
  • Provide guidance for setting up of master database for materials during SAP implementation
  • Actively participate Global projects like Global Supply Chain Hub2, Lean DNA, SAP roll out etc. to ensure standardization of material management process across all factories
  • Actively participate in supply review meeting to achieve consensus for operational plan, facilitating a collaborative planning process with manufacturing, procurement, and supply chain personnel. Prepare relevant material to actively contribute to the supply review discussion
  • Drive efficiency in the integrated production planning and material planning process through a tool
  • Collaborate with operations team to ensure execution to plan on a daily/weekly/ monthly basis
  • Provide visibility of material through daily/weekly/ monthly exception reports like weekly availability, mitigation plans etc. for critical RM/components
What are we looking for:
  • Preferably completed tertiary studies in Bachelors in Engineering / Bachelors in Technology from an institute/university of repute. An MBA with specialization in Operations & Supply Chain Management from a tier-1 institute would be highly valued.
  • Relevant experience in Demand Planning and IBP process in a complex multi plant supply network.
  • 10-15 years of relevant post qualification experience in reputed organizations (Global / American MNCs) with strong manufacturing & supply chain operations.
