Job Description

With the LKCMedicine entering a new phase in its exciting development, the medical school is looking for a Media and Publicity Manager to craft, write, edit and innovate on media and publicity material to promote and enhance the reputation of the School. Based at the School\xe2\x80\x99s Novena campus, the candidate will work closely with LKCMedicine Director, Communications & Outreach, and Deputy Director, Advocacy & Engagement, as well as various internal and external stakeholders, on media engagement and publicity material that showcases the successes and progress of the medical school. S/he will be responsible for coordinating media engagement and publicity campaigns, from pitching to crafting content for publicity, implementation, as well as media monitoring in consult with NTU Communications media team.

Responsibilities:

Crafts, writes, edits and innovates on media and publicity material to promote and enhance the reputation of the School.

Develop and manage mainstream media including writing, editing and preparing media kits, press releases, media invites, factsheets, etc, ahead of media events.

Drive positive media coverage and coordinate media engagement and publicity campaigns, including pitching to crafting content for publicity, and to engaging media personnel during media event and follow-ups.

Organise media briefings and prepares primes spokespersons for media interviews and other media events.

Collaborate with NTU Communications media team in monitoring media coverage related to the School. This involves tracking new articles and other media platforms to stay updated on public perception and respond if necessary.

Editor of quarterly newsletter. This includes reviewing and refining articles, ensuring accuracy and clarity, and maintaining a consistent tone and style.

Writes and edits copy for various marketing materials such as brochures, posters, speeches, scripts, and web articles, to produce compelling and engaging content that effectively communicates the School\xe2\x80\x99s message.

Requirements:

Degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or related field, with 5 to 8 years of working experience in media management, writing and/or journalism.

Prior experience in writing for Biomedical Research, Healthcare or Higher Education will be added advantage.

Has strong writing and interview skills and prior working relationship with media, local and overseas.

Possess excellent language skills, written and spoken

Able to work independently and in teams

This is a 3 years contract appointment.
