Responsibilities

  • Assist and support the Associate Director, Operations in providing operational leadership and strategic directives to meet delivery commitments and ensure customer satisfaction and leading the cultural transformation within the organization.
  • Drive operational excellence and be accountable for monthly engine delivery, profit margins, CPH, OT, COPQ, Productivity and DCI metrics in the company to delight customers and meet or exceed operational performance indicators.
  • Ensure compliance of standards, drive CORE, EH&S and Ethics culture in the cells as well as assume roles in CORE and EH&S sub-committees.
  • Work on cost reduction efforts to drive down costs and drive profitability of the company. Drive productivity and continuous improvement (CORE) initiatives to improve efficiency in the workplace.
  • Lead the cell workforce to meet cell targets and goals for quality and on-time delivery, as well as drive root cause analysis when targets are not met.
  • Implement production and overtime schedules and procedures, as well as allocate manpower and resources to maximize productivity, while maintaining employees\xe2\x80\x99 morale and satisfaction of the cells.
  • Control production activities, material flow and inventory used by the cells to achieve cost, quality and delivery targets.
  • Lead the product purchase and vendor control group to support the production planning.
  • Lead and supervise Cell Leaders, Assistant Foremen, Workshop Engineers, Technicians and Inspectors in the cells, as well as develop them towards a self-directed and multi-skilled workforce through planned skills training.
  • Lead production cell leaders and coordinate with Engineering and Quality to redefine processes, control build plans and execute on business requirements and deliver to customers\xe2\x80\x99 expectations.
  • Manage production hours and align with ESA target to meet revenue / profit goals and achieve cost reduction.
  • Interface with various business functions such as Engineering, Quality, HR, Customer Support and Materials to achieve cell goals and company\xe2\x80\x99s objectives.
  • Establish work schedules taking into account customer, resource availability and other priorities.
  • Establish and maintain excellent communication with other functional departments and managers to align goals and deadlines.
  • Drive a high employee engagement culture of respect, empowerment, communication and teamwork.
  • Develop potential successors in the talent pipeline and champion talent developments of the management team within the organization to ensure team stability and business continuity.
  • To conduct performance reviews on a regular basis in order to facilitate or maintain a high operating efficiency for the operations cells.

Requirements

  • Degree in Mechanical/Aeronautical/Production Engineering with 5 to 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in aircraft engine workshop practices and maintenance & repair of gas turbine engines will be advantageous.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office software (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint).
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, prioritization and multi-tasking skills.
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills with strong leadership and business acumen.
  • Highly motivated and self-directed. Able to learn quickly with a strong ability to drive and deliver results.
  • Good team player and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work with all levels of management and in a fast-paced, matrix reporting organization.
