We want to build a Do-Good district and help residents live a Better Life through one of the 5 key CS CDC focus areas - the \'Physical Wellness & Sustainability\' pillar where we advocate eating well, living well, and thinking well among our residents in Central Singapore district.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Conceptualise, Strategise and Manage Community Programmes
  • Co-plan and review the concept, strategies, management and execution of community programmes to \'Aggregate Needs & Resources, Build Capabilities and Connect Communities\'
  • Effective engagement of stakeholders (e.g. Community Partners, Corporate organisations, Schools and IHLs, Grassroots Organisations, Social Service Agencies, etc), partners and residents to achieve team outcomes
  • Perform proper budgeting, tracking and allocation of resources to realise optimal utilization of resources to achieve the programme outcomes and KPIs
  • Managing administrative matters for the programmes
  • To display resourcefulness in project execution and operation planning with the ability to assess and manage complex situations in real time
  • Project and programme management to implement large-scale signature programmes/events and national-level initiatives at the District level
  • To possess a genuine knowledge, passion and interest in developing community-based/social support programmes to make a positive impact for vulnerable groups especially seniors and families
  • Develop networks of external stakeholders/partners
  • Work closely with Team Leader and Senior Manager to build strong networks of external stakeholders/partners, especially with Seniors Activity Centres and Active Ageing Centres
  • Partner key stakeholders to identify community gaps and needs, develop joint collaborations, and meet programme outcomes
  • Assist and develop volunteer management and engagement for the programmes
  • Othe duties
  • To work with the Team Leader and Senior Manager to achieve CSCDC wide initiatives and outcomes
  • Undertake any other duties as assigned by the General Manager/Deputy General Managers
  • Other ad-hoc duties not covered under main responsibilities and duties
  • Participate in cross-team building initiatives and taskforces
What you will be working on

The Manager will lead, manage, and curate programmes to:

1) Promote Better Homes in Central Singapore District
  • Working with partners and volunteers to create safe, healthy, clean, and conducive physical living spaces and homes.
  • This will involve the need to (1) plan for home visitation to access the conditions and needs of the unit to (2) working with partners, volunteers, and/or vendors for the home cleaning project that may include basic cleaning, painting, fumigation, and decluttering
2) Promote Better Health in Central Singapore District
  • Working with partners and/or volunteers to curate and develop meaningful programmes that promote Better Health in Central Singapore District
3) Engagement of Seniors in Central Singapore District
  • Working with partners and/or volunteers to curate and develop meaningful programmes that promote social well-being and engagement of seniors in Central Singapore District
What we are looking for
  • Individuals who truly aspire to go beyond success and significance in your career, along with understanding and wanting to make a difference in the community
  • At least 2 years of relevant working experience in designing and implementing community programmes and/or community- based/social support sector
  • Strong analytical and project management skills
  • Strong knowledge of programme development, implementation, results-based management, and reporting
  • Strong ability to assess and manage complex situations
  • Knowledge or experience in the senior related programmes/initiatives landscape in Singapore will be advantageous
  • Excellent proficiency in the English language, both verbal and written, as well as proficiency in a second language (e.g. Chinese, Malay or Tamil) will be advantageous
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision
  • Experience in volunteer management is preferred
