MarlinX Technologies is building a privacy-first membership infrastructure for offline SMEs. We help merchants build their own first-party customer relationships and PDPA-aligned loyalty systems.
Role Summary
We are looking for a Partnerships & GTM leader to drive adoption through trusted networks -- not door-to-door selling.
This role builds scalable entry points into SME communities via government-linked programmes, trade associations, industry groups, and SME enablement initiatives in Singapore and the region.
In addition, this role owns public relations and media strategy to strengthen our brand credibility across SMEs, partners, and ecosystem stakeholders.
Build collaborations with SME-focused bodies: trade associations, chambers of commerce, industry councils, federations, and government-backed SME programmes.
Design joint enablement programmes or pilots for SME adoption.
Establish batch onboarding channels via association networks instead of 1:1 merchant sales.
2. SME Funnel Design & Batch Onboarding
Plan scalable workshops / briefings / clinics that attract SME owners expecting actionable solutions, not theory.
Drive structured conversion from pilot subscriptionretention.
Work closely with Product and Marketing to align onboarding materials, value narrative, and follow-up campaigns.
3. Public & Media Relations
Lead media communications and PR strategy in coordination with the Founder.
Develop press releases, earned media angles, and bylined thought-leadership content highlighting SME empowerment, PDPA compliance, and data ownership narratives.
Build and manage relationships with journalists, SME-focused publications, tech/startup media, and industry reporters.
Handle external communications during partnerships, product launches, and public events to ensure message consistency.
Oversee brand visibility through association newsletters, ecosystem platforms, and SME events -- balancing credibility and authenticity (no paid fluff).
4. Local Insight & Feedback Loop
Collect structured feedback from merchants and partners, translate it into product priorities.
Identify emerging verticals (F&B, beauty, education, services) and sequencing opportunities for rollouts.
You Are a Fit If You:
Have real relationships with one or more: SME trade associations, chambers, federations, retail/F&B networks, or government SME programmes.
Are experienced in public communication -- know how to speak both policy language and SME language.
Can confidently run SME-facing sessions and handle media interviews or joint announcements.
Understand data-driven marketing, retention, and privacy-based engagement concepts.
Thrive in a startup environment: fast iterations, no bureaucracy, high accountability.
