Job PurposeSupports the GCCIO and Group of Clinical Informatics (GOCI) in its continuous growth and operationalisation, in line with its mission \xe2\x80\x9cImproving the health and experience of our Population and Staff through Clinical Informatics\xe2\x80\x9d. The position manages Clinical Informatics Systems/Programs under the Department\'s purview, leading Program Management and Governance/Quality/Innovation, whilst ensuring integrity in the alignment to value, scope and system outcomes of the Next Generation EMR/Clinical IT experience within and beyond the cluster.MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESAreas of ResponsibilityClinical Systems Management

  • Represent and Participate in the business case formulation alongside key stakeholders, as well as the acquisition process and deployment of key clinical systems of the organization.
  • Collaborate with user stakeholders to oversee the end-to-end product deployment of key clinical systems - not limited to but include project management, system testing and integration, go-live readiness and deployment.
  • Partner institutional stakeholders in the continuing improvement and optimisation of the product across the system lifecycle. These include the introduction of best practices around the area of user engagement and principles of a responsive IT service management. This may encompass risk identification, troubleshooting and introduction of change request management across the institutions, amongst other areas. Skillset like Planning-Doing-Checking-Acting (PDCA), Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and agile methodologies will all be helpful.
  • Plan and project for system change with stakeholders in anticipation of the needs of the organisation.
Clinical Systems Governance
  • Oversee system access and use of key clinical systems. This includes the formulation of policies, risk assessment, audit and other compliance activities.
  • Monitor and promote the clinical gains from deployment of such clinical systems.
. Organisational Leadership
  • Scope and translate the intent of GOCI into actionable areas of work.
  • Organise and operationalise teams to effective and efficiently work to fulfil the agenda of the organisation.
  • To nurture, train and build the necessary organization to fulfil its task in a positive, open and creative manner.
  • Be part of the leadership in GOCI to chart and direct the contribution of Clinical informatics to fulfil NHG\'s mission and vision of delivering health and healthcare to the population.
Other duties as directed by GCCIO and the office of GHIJOB REQUIREMENTSEducation/Training/Experience
  • Healthcare/IT professionals who take an interest in informatics and/or governance to enable support & improve healthcare.
  • Preferably a tertiary degree from a recognised university
  • Preferably 8-10 years of relevant working experience in a healthcare setting with clinical or healthcare informatics/healthcare IT/governance/innovation experience, with at least 5 years in a team management role.
Personal Attributes
  • Capacity to manage multiple competing objectives and to clearly communicate results.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading large scale and complex tech development projects with tight timelines and multiple dependencies.
  • Strong organisational and coordination skills; ability to sequence activities logically.
  • Proven track record of leading diverse project teams and managing senior stakeholders.
  • Professional certification in Project Management (including Agile), ITIL or equivalent areas would be preferred.
