What the role is
As a Manager, Pre-school Education in the Schools Division, you will be part of the team to raise the quality of pre-school education in Singapore. You will work closely with the MOE Kindergartens (MKs), relevant MOE Headquarters (HQ) divisions and various stakeholders in the pre-school sector.
What you will be working on
• Support the implementation and review of financial guidelines, procurement practices and related processes in the MKs, MOE HQ divisions and various stakeholders in the pre-school sector • Ensure effective and optimal utilisation of budgets in accordance to prevailing financial guidelines • Provide advice on procurement procedures and guidelines to project owners in the pre-school sector • Support the procurement processes in the management of pre-school sector projects • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of project payments in the pre-school sector • Perform Fixed Asset Approving Officer role and work closely with the Fixed Asset Officer to maintain assets within the Pre-School Education Branch, including yearly asset physical sighting exercise
What we are looking for
• Effective communication, interpersonal and analytical skills with an eye for detail • Resourcefulness, ability to organise, multi-task and adapt to changes as well as work in a fast-paced environment • At least 2 years of working knowledge in government finance/ procurement policies and processes In general, applicants can expect to hear from us within 4 weeks of the close of the application window.
