Disciplined, continuous improvement and enhancement in pricing across APA including through novel pricing approaches. Support development of country and regional pricing strategies through high quality discussions and decision making, excellent process performance, data quality, monitoring systems etc. Increase pricing awareness and knowhow throughout the organization. Provide guidance, coaching and training, as needed, also on the use of existing pricing templates, toolsets and processes Responsibilities: Develop and execute pricing strategies in alignment with the offers in the market and product plans to maximize Consolidated Gross Margin (CGM) and achieve short-term and long-term objectives across product groups, asset base and customer portfolio. Develop pricing analysis methods, looking at volume and value to help inform portfolio mix guidance for the sales and marketing team, measure effectiveness of pricing strategies and the impact of raw material and other cost changes on the profitability of product groups. Monitor profitability metrics, net price realization and identify CGM improvement opportunities, incl. freight and packaging cost. Construct and maintain regular pricing scorecards of ongoing pricing vs KPI/targets, incl. tracking of external trends in key raw materials and other metrics to proactively drive pricing changes with market dynamics (customer buying patterns, competitive behaviors, trade flows, market supply and demand, and leading macroeconomic indicators). Develops and keeps cost curves up to date. Capability development to achieve excellence in all product mix, marketing processes, specifically pricing. Act as pricing coach, run workshops throughout the organization and setup regular and informative reporting and insights. Share external and BASF Group internal best practice in pricing. Coordinates contract development, drafting and compliance programs around pricing and other commercial offering elements. Advises on commercial policies, as well as product allocation plans when product availability is restricted. Requirements: Minimum Bachelor's Degree in business, economics, science, or related fields (MBA preferred) Minimum 3 years of relevant prior business experience (e.g. sales, marketing, product management, and/or pricing) with an analytical background preferred. Complex project leadership experience and capability. Experience working in a consultancy preferred. Experience in agriculture / chemical industry a plus. Operative experience in sales and marketing beneficial Exceptional English language writing and with strong communication skills. Expert skills in pricing strategies, price determination, methods and price execution, marketing mix and negotiations. Strong financial focus and acumen to drive profitable choices. Strong analytical skills and excellent numerical abilities. Commercial, customer-centric mindset. Strategic thinking and ability to translate effectively to execution planning. Manage execution of strategy through and with others. Not afraid to voice ideas or opinions within a peer group. A proven record in analyzing and modelling complicated data sets and the creation of data analytics tools (Excel, Databases) and acumen to make informed decisions. The ability to use this information to reach insightful conclusions and create robust recommendations and present outputs in an informative way. Ability of being a key contributor as part of a cross functional team as well as leading multidisciplinary and international teams. Strong interpersonal skills with ability to coach, guide and develop people. Excellent project management, moderation, and presentation skills
