Job Description


What the role is:

-You will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing and implementing programmes to further the mission of the CDC.
- You will cultivate and strengthen partnerships with Community and Corporate Partners and other relevant internal and external stakeholders to curate needs driven programmes.
- The scope of the work also involves assessing and reviewing the programmes to ensure their effectiveness in meeting the objectives.
- You will also provide administrative and secretariat support to the Council members and volunteers.

Projects Management & Development

  • Assists in formulating, implementing and reviewing plans for the development of CDC to achieve community goals.
  • Acts as a catalyst to encourage and assist CDC Members in the Functional Committee to plan and implement community projects/programmes/activities.
  • Submit progress reports, provide feedback, and recommend changes and improvements to the Functional Committee, thereby facilitating communication and coordination between the Functional Committee and the South West CDC.
  • Ensure compliance to Corporate Governances in line with the Government/ PA/CDC policy and guidelines, i.e. Procurement, Projects Staff Manual, PA Staff Manual etc.
  • Network, coordinate and develop joint CDC programmes or partnerships with Community and Corporate Partners, schools as well as other Government agencies, in achieving set targets and objectives of the Government/PA/CDC.
Functional Committee Secretariat Duties
  • Provides administrative, secretariat and logistical support and guidance to the Council, Standing Committee and joint partners, to facilitate effective implementation of their projects/programmes/activities.
  • Acts as a catalyst to encourage and assist Council Members and co-opted members in the standing committees to plan and implement community projects / programmes/activities
  • Works closely with the Council Members to develop, monitor, coordinate and implement projects/programmes/activities.
  • Conceptualise, develop and administer CDC programmes and budgets in accordance with plans, targets and objectives of the CDC and its Functional Committees.
  • Analyse, review and report on CDC programmes.
  • Monitor day-to-day operation and performance of CDC programmes and initiatives.
  • Submits progress reports on the Standing Committees, provides feedback, and recommends changes and improvements to Council, thereby facilitating communication and coordination between the Standing Committees and the Council.
  • Provide accurate record of the Council meetings, Standing Committee meetings and District meetings in minutes.
  • Submits progress reports on the Council to PA Headquarters, thereby facilitating communication and coordination between the Council and PA.
Council and Stakeholder Engagement
  • Represent CDC at national/district/divisional and Functional Committee Meetings, to network and strengthen partnerships.
  • Represent CDC as Community Relationship Manager (CRM) to strengthen and forge relationships with the divisions.
Other ad-hoc duties not covered under main responsibilities and duties.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by senior officers
  • Provides administrative, secretariat and logistical support to projects organised by PA Headquarters

What we are looking for

-1 to 2 years of relevant working experience in events management/organisation

-Good verbal and written communication skills
