Objectives

As part of the Regional Supply Chain team, you will

  • Lead and steer regional planning activities for business unit Plastic Additives within Asia Pacific
  • Drive continuous improvements in demand, supply and inventory planning processes and technologies. Initiate and lead projects to align with SCM and BU strategy.
  • Lead countries planners and production sites planning to ensure alignment with the S&OP process performance as per the defined service levels to optimize working capital, delivery reliability and customer service level.
Responsibilities

Strategy
  • Develop and regularly review the planning strategy based on BU strategy / BRM (Business Rules Management) and upon consultation with Product Management, Production, Sales, and Controlling
  • Drive continuously demand, supply, and inventory planning improvement; optimize process flow and run projects (e.g. Project Co-Plan Horizontal Integration, Forecast Accuracy Improvement) to support business growth
  • Steer cross country material flow, volume allocation and projection volume optimization
Performance Management
  • Ensure reliable and timely supply of inventory to direct customer of regional /local hubs by coordinating and aligning efforts between supply sources, production sites, and logistics functions
  • Monitor and manage inventory performance via KPIs, benchmarks, and defined service levels
  • Coordinate the enhancement of KPIs and target values in close coordination with product management, sales management, country planners and production
People and Organization Management
  • Manage and lead planning organization including country planners and production site planners in Asia Pacific
  • Set measurable inventory targets to country planning team and production sites to monitor team's performance
  • Monitor planning team in production sites to ensure production according to plan (conformance to plan KPI)
  • Drive overall demand / supply balancing by giving guidelines and instructions of how much to produce and when to produce per each production site
Continuous Improvement and Projects
  • Plan, implement and control SC projects, resulting in the improvement of the overall business performance.
  • Continue drive and support the cross regional demand supply planning process with other regions
  • Define Production strategies (Make-to-Stock/ Make-to Order/ Pack-to-Order, campaigning size and cycle)
  • Be actively involved in the design of global planning model applying for regional uses
  • Initiate and lead stock optimization actions (aged stock, safety stock, and target levels).
Communication
  • Represent the region in the global operation planning meeting to support and ensure global balancing of supply and demand, escalate issues that cannot be resolved within the region in a structure way with proposed solution.
  • Be the active communication link between LBMs, Regional Sales team, Product Management, Production and Planning community
  • Exchange best-practice experiences and drive knowledge transfer to/ between hubs/ regions/ countries planning team
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Supply Chain or Logistics Management or related disciplines
  • Minimum 8-10 years of relevant experience in the subject matter
  • Holder of CPIM, CSCP from APICS
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English, other Asian Languages is a plus
  • Able to work in diverse levels of international and local collaboration, flexible in agile environments and multi-disciplinary teams
