The RDC Operations Manager will manage the day-to-day operational aspects relating to the inventory, Inbound and Outbound operations of the SLH (Singapore Logistics Hub) for RDC. Owns and improve the processes related to the Inbound, Outbound and inventory movements, adjustments, and scrapping. Lead the team to drive the performance of the RDC on the key performance measures of the Customer Service, Cost and Compliance. Partner with quality team to ensure implementation and maintenance of J&J quality system (NCR, CAPA, WI SOP creation, Change Management, timely closure of Affiliate Distribution Service Issues and Audits) at the SLH. Responsible for LEAN process deployment in the area of inbound, outbound operations and inventory management. Stakeholder management - Regional planning, Affiliate Plan and Deliver team, Franchise team related to inbound and outbound process of RDC.

Responsibilities:

Inbound and Outbound Operations

  • Lead time metrics achievement for Inbound by Franchise
  • Dock to stock metric owner
  • Coordinator for overall lead time from order drop at source to receive at SLH
  • Set up forum and discuss improvements with suppliers (e.g. MLC, HCS, EDC, Direct fro Manufacturing)
  • Coordinate Inbound permit processing and adjustments.
  • Outbound orders management - planning, scheduling, urgent orders, VAS orders and exception management
  • Manage supply chain events which can impact services to affiliates
  • Performance management related to Outbound KPIs - OTS, OTB, Backorder management, % accuracy - Excess/shortage/damage.
  • Regular reviews with all affiliates - for China, India, North Asia, ANZ and SEA, monthly review on customer service with planning and affiliate planning and CLS teams. Work on improvements based on the feedback provided by Affiliates.
  • Inputs from review meeting and Performance management charts will be part of QSMR, CAPA review board and any other management review meeting.
Warehouse inventory management
  • Warehouse inventory analytics - Inventory profiling, transaction analysis, discrepancies, and NCRs.
  • Cycle Count/Wall-to-Wall Count - Planning and adherence with 3PL, Discrepancy analysis, System transactions for clearing discrepancies.
  • Inventory provisions - Analysis of BLOCKED inventory, Provide requisite information for month-end provisions.
  • Inventory Scrapping - Monthly analysis of inventory in BLOCKED,
  • Coordination with 3PL for physical scrapping, Scrapping in the system.
  • Inventory Movements - Support 3PL in executing the inventory movements related to Returns/Recalls/Stop shipments.
  • Improvement projects for inventory management through LEAN/FPX deployment
RDC Master Data management
  • Lead master data management for RDC - Material Master, WM view, Material Extension, PIR, Source List, Custom table update, Customer Master, Costing Run, Pricing.
QA/compliance engagement and responsibilities
  • Ensuring QA and Regulatory compliance of the processes (SOP, WI, NCR, CAPA and Audit closures)
  • Stop-shipment management from operations
  • SOX lead for inventory, inbound and outbound operations related actions/audit requirements
  • Support on the quality audits and related action planning/implementation
  • Closure of all quality actions in time
  • Highlight urgent QA issues
Others
  • Finance related coordination and closure of credit/debit notes, open PO and Open STO
  • Affiliates and RPT issue resolution related to warehouse inbound and inventory operations
  • Issue resolution related to inventory and inbound process with 3PL, RPT, IT, Finance
  • Support in SOX testing and SOX audits
  • Review 3PL performance on inbound (dock to stock) inventory accuracy, inventory damages, cycle count progress and customer complaints
  • Claims management process owner
  • Improvement projects owner for inventory management and inbound operations
  • As a record manager for all record and information management related matters of operation records
  • Strategic project support for Inbound, Outbound and Inventory operations.
Authorities
  • Approver for Overtime for 3PL
  • Approver for surveys in case of damages in the inbound shipments
  • Approver for customer complaint closure
  • SOX lead for inbound and outbound operations
  • A minimum of a bachelor\'s degree (or University equivalent) with at least 8 to 10 years\' experience in Supply Chain functions - operations, planning and warehousing
  • Experience in the healthcare sector across the Asia Pacific region (preferred)
  • Ability to influence, collaborate, and provide direction to regional partners and senior leadership through a matrix organization
  • Strong experience with partner management, collaboration, and leading performance improvement.
  • Experience with Lean and six sigma methodologies preferred
  • Computer skills (ERP system, MS office, minitab or SPC package, Visio, MS Project etc)
  • Awareness of GDP requirements, regulations and validation methods
  • Working knowledge of statistics
  • Excellent analyzing/decision making ability
  • Effective communication skills

  • Ability to translate complex situations into simple working solutions
