Job Purpose
This position will report to Senior Manager, Trains Risk Management. As a key member of the team, you will be expected to facilitate the Trains risk management process for mainly Trains Business Units, Rail Operations and Maintenance Groups. This is key to ensuring that SMRT Trains continue to provide a safe & reliable railway service and in a sustainable manner to support all the organisational objectives.
The role will also be responsible in the reviewing and updating of all relevant policies and procedures for Trains Risk Management; as well as the necessary coordination with the operational units and reporting to the Management and Board.
Responsibilities
1) Drive and provide risk advisory to divisions/departments on risk management activities to facilitate comprehensive risk identification, assessment and mitigation
2) Maintain and enhance oversight on risk management activities through business environmental scanning and qualitative risk analysis. 3) Sustain and improve on SMRT Trains risk governance and reporting, including advising and interacting with Senior Management and Board Members on risk management
4) Advise Management with analysis and recommendations for risk control efficiency, cost of risks and risk control and improved risk management process.
5) Maintain and enforcement of all relevant Trains risk management policies and procedures. This includes advise and educate internal stakeholders on Trains risk management policies and procedures.
6) Drive risk awareness and risk competency improvement across SMRT Trains, through training and communications
7) Drive process productivity by leveraging on IT system and tools
8) Prepare reports and perform secretariat duties at Board, Management and Key Stakeholders meetings.
9) Provide guidance and support to other team members and the Trains community in the field of risk management.
10) Drive or partake in projects and initiatives which strengthen risk management in SMRT Trains
11) Serve as key resource to Senior Manager, Trains Risk Management in all matters related to Trains governance and risk management.
