Job Description

Job Purpose

The Manager reviews, develops and implements WSH & Quality policies and programs, to support Trains BU in meeting Workplace Safety & Health Regulatory requirements. The role also has a key part to play in the Contractor Safety Management Program.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the Contractor Safety Management Program
• Implement and review Trains BU level WSH and Quality policies and programs in alignment with Corporate Policies and Procedures
• Support Line/Division SSQO to identify, evaluate and mitigate workplace safety risks
• Evaluate hazardous chemicals and maintain depository of Safety Data Sheets
• Evaluate Personal Protective Equipment to comply with safety standards
• Manage the Hazardous Work Coordination System
• Assist to provide WSH advisory to Trains BU projects, A&A and modi\xef\xac\x81cation works
• Undertake any other ad-hoc tasks/projects as and when assigned

Qualifications & Work Experience

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical or related Engineering
• Specialist Diploma in WSH (Level C) or equivalent
• MOM-Registered WSH O\xef\xac\x83cer is advantageous
• 3 years of managerial work experience in WSH role

Skills

Technical skills include:

• Good knowledge on Workplace Safety and Health Act, Regulations, Code of Practices and Singapore Standards
• Pro\xef\xac\x81cient in WSH Risk Management
• Pro\xef\xac\x81cient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Generic skills include:

• Strong leadership skills to manage tasks and deadlines
• Critical thinker and problem solver
• Strong report writing and presentation skills
• Great interpersonal and communication skills
• Good time management
