Job Description

What the role is:The Security and Safety Branch (SSB) is a part of HTA\'s Centre for Corporate Services (CCS) and oversees the physical security and safety of all personnel and property in HTA campus, as well as reviews and ensures all training activities in HTA follow prevailing training safety regulations. The jobholder is responsible in overseeing the security of all personnel and property at HTA, which is a protected training & learning (T&L) facility for HT officers, trainees, and visitors across all HT co-located training schools and specialist units. With the assistance of Head (Security), the jobholder is responsible for ensuring and creating a safe and secure learning environment for all trainees, staff, visitors and across all Home Team co-located training schools, specialist units by enforcing clear security clearance policies, SOPs, conceptualising and implementing new smart campus security projects leveraging technology, managing outsourced security personnel, instituting \xe2\x80\x9cRed teaming\xe2\x80\x9d exercises to ensure rigour in security management and process, educate and brief duty officers, calibrate security measures and responses to the prevailing Threatcon, manage security related incidents and conduct preliminary investigations. The jobholder is responsible in planning out the security requirements of HTA.What you will be working on:

• Development of strategic security policies, frameworks and processes for HTA \xe2\x80\xa2 Oversee and assess security access and clearance policies (including vehicular clearance and parking arrangement) for all staff, visitors and vendors commensurate with security requirements of a Protected Place. \xe2\x80\xa2 Analyse, respond, manage ad-hoc security and workplace incidents and conduct preliminary investigation \xe2\x80\xa2 Forge and sustain strong and strategic stakeholder partnerships with security agencies and WOG, to enhance security awareness and workplace safety. \xe2\x80\xa2 Plan, assess and oversee various security and safety audits, fire evacuation drills, HTA annual power shutdown and MHA/Home Team related events \xe2\x80\xa2 Take a leading role in managing security/fire incidents/work place safety incidents \xe2\x80\xa2 Assume resource person for HTA in inter-agency meetings concerning security deployments or national emergency operations in HTA premises \xe2\x80\xa2 Coach, motivate and supervise SSB staff and outsourced security personnel and duty officers.

What we are looking for:1. Good first degree in any discipline with preference given to those whose first degree is in security-related studies or law 2. Prior working experience in leadership position with at least 5 years\' experience in security and safety related industry, preferably with security management, enforcement and operations background 3. Demonstrates strong analytical skills and attention to details 4. Possesses interviewing techniques, investigative skills and techniques. 5. Experienced in incident management and containment, contingency planning skills 6. Possess excellent leadership qualities with strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal). 7.
