About the roleWe are recruiting for a Manager - Scheduling for our Bauxite & Alumina team.Primary responsibilities include leading the scheduling team and managing the supply chain for bauxite and alumina pacific assets and caustic for the B&A global business. The role requires the coordination of complex stakeholder groups from across the business to deliver optimal value to the business.This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced leader who is keen to take up lead a high performing team to achieve the business outcomes.Reporting to the Senior Manager Supply Chain and S&OP, you will:
Develop and execute business unit scheduling strategy and deliver commercial objectives.
Lead a small team of professionals, identifying areas for growth and development.
Understand and measure the key value drivers across the commercial and product group businesses, and drive business improvement initiatives to deliver value.
Be accountable for the scheduling work management planning and execution including short-term planning, resource coordination (fixing vessels as required), and delivery of the shipping schedule.
Optimise supply chain activities to manage trade working capital objectives and maintain business critical working inventories across the operational assets.
Engage closely with key stakeholders including sales, S&OP, chartering, vetting, marine operations, dynamic scheduling, commercial services, and the operational sites.
Working in conjunction with load and unload port operators to ensure alignment of various other schedules to ensure vessel productivity.
Provide technical input into the formulation of overall commercial strategy for the product group or business unit.
Ensure relevant systems are in place to accurately capture and transfer knowledge within marketing and sales.
About youTo be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
Bachelor Degree in either Accounting, Finance, Commerce or other relevant discipline.
Effective leadership experience in driving performance for a team.
Proven commercial experience in supply chain, and/or S&OP.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to reach out and build collaborative stakeholder relationships across different levels.
Ability to work well in matrix environment and strong stakeholder management.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Leadership skills with focus on relationship building and business orientation.
Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritise workload.
Be customer oriented, demand driven and conscious of the underlying production constraints.
Ability to engage with cross-functional stakeholders and manage competing.
Understanding of financial performance and underlying value drivers.
It will also be beneficial if you have:
Knowledge of the bauxite, alumina or aluminum processes an advantage.
Knowledge of Power BI or any other data analytics tools/applications.
Previous experience with integrated planning systems is an advantage (SAP, Anaplan or others).
