This role supports the cultivation of an insights-driven mindset amongst staff, work with partners to engineer data to transform and enhance business processes, and to deliver impactful data science/ artificial intelligence and data analytics solutions across the organisation.
What you will be working on:
An officer in this role would be expected to handle one or more of the following areas of work as part of day-to-day responsibilities or as assignments:

• Setup/manage/troubleshoot small-scale cloud environments containing data processing, web applications, data science/AI components and services; manage day-to-day operations
• Setup/manage Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, and manage container technologies i.e. Docker & Kubernetes
• Work with data scientists and data engineers to migrate/deploy and maintain data pipelines/analytics/artificial intelligence solutions (e.g. applications, models). This includes reviewing/updating/improving the codes that was initially developed by data scientists/engineers.
• Provide technical guidance to others on cloud infrastructure/services (including. networking/connectivity, security, performance), DevOps/MLOps
• Conduct research on emerging system/cloud architecture, technologies and systems.

What we are looking for:

• Background in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering or equivalent fields
• Experience in managing/provisioning infra services, preferably Azure-based services within the context of Government Commercial Cloud. Familiarity in Terraform tool and Infrastructure as Code concept is a plus.
• Familiarity/experience in data engineering, data science/AI and web application-related cloud services/products.
• Familiarity/experience in frontend and backend, data engineering and data science/AI development process.
• Familiarity in data query/science languages such as SQL, Spark and/or Python, or frontend framework (e.g. node.js).
• Meticulous and analytical
• Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
• Resourceful and able to work independently in a team environment
