Job Description

What the role is:We are looking for a talented Social Media manager to build HTX's social media presence and engage HTX community and friends. This person will report to Head, Digital and Social Media to create interesting and appropriate content for the Content team, manage regular posts, and respond to our followers to support our branding, engagement, and outreach efforts.What you will be working on:

• Build and manage HTX's social media profile and presence on Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok, and additional channels that may be deemed relevant Research and evaluate the latest trends, techniques and platforms to find new and better ways of engaging our target audiences Work in the Digital and Social Media team under the Content team to create high quality, novel and shareable content (text, video, images) appropriate for specific platforms to drive traffic and audience engagement Work with the Brand & Marketing team to use social media as a platform for their brand and marketing campaigns Uphold HTX's brand and ensure consistency of brand image across all channels Monitor and engage in relevant social discussions about HTX and industry Run regular social campaigns and track their success Track, measure, and analyse all initiatives to report on social media ROI/KPIs

What we are looking for:Skills, Knowledge and Experience Tertiary qualifications from a recognised tertiary education institution Up-to-date with the latest digital technologies and social media trends, with a command of each channel and their best practices Excellent communication and people skills Working experience in content creation and marketing and managing external vendors Agile and creative thinker with a keen eye for visual design A keen aesthetic eye and knowledge of Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator/InDesign, Canva, and Adobe Premier Pro or video editing apps and programs such as Capcut Photography, videography, and graphic design skills are a bonus Traits Strong passion for storytelling in a wide range of content types Resourceful and self-driven Enjoys working with a team to experiment and create, and in a fluid environment Comfortable reaching out to newsmakers for content ideas, as well as source for story and content leads Fun-loving and has a positive learning attitude All new hires are appointed on a two-year contract in the first instance and will be assessed and considered for permanent tenure over time, based on performance.
