Job Description

What the role is:We are looking for a talented Social Media manager to build HTX\'s social media presence and engage HTX community and friends. This person will report to Head, Digital and Social Media to create interesting and appropriate content for the Content team, manage regular posts, and respond to our followers to support our branding, engagement, and outreach efforts.What you will be working on:

• Build and manage HTX\'s social media profile and presence on Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok, and additional channels that may be deemed relevant \xe2\x80\xa2 Research and evaluate the latest trends, techniques and platforms to find new and better ways of engaging our target audiences \xe2\x80\xa2 Work in the Digital and Social Media team under the Content team to create high quality, novel and shareable content (text, video, images) appropriate for specific platforms to drive traffic and audience engagement \xe2\x80\xa2 Work with the Brand & Marketing team to use social media as a platform for their brand and marketing campaigns \xe2\x80\xa2 Uphold HTX\'s brand and ensure consistency of brand image across all channels \xe2\x80\xa2 Monitor and engage in relevant social discussions about HTX and industry \xe2\x80\xa2 Run regular social campaigns and track their success \xe2\x80\xa2 Track, measure, and analyse all initiatives to report on social media ROI/KPIs

What we are looking for:Skills, Knowledge and Experience \xe2\x80\xa2 Tertiary qualifications from a recognised tertiary education institution \xe2\x80\xa2 Up-to-date with the latest digital technologies and social media trends, with a command of each channel and their best practices \xe2\x80\xa2 Excellent communication and people skills \xe2\x80\xa2 Working experience in content creation and marketing and managing external vendors \xe2\x80\xa2 Agile and creative thinker with a keen eye for visual design \xe2\x80\xa2 A keen aesthetic eye and knowledge of Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator/InDesign, Canva, and Adobe Premier Pro or video editing apps and programs such as Capcut \xe2\x80\xa2 Photography, videography, and graphic design skills are a bonus Traits \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong passion for storytelling in a wide range of content types \xe2\x80\xa2 Resourceful and self-driven \xe2\x80\xa2 Enjoys working with a team to experiment and create, and in a fluid environment \xe2\x80\xa2 Comfortable reaching out to newsmakers for content ideas, as well as source for story and content leads \xe2\x80\xa2 Fun-loving and has a positive learning attitude All new hires are appointed on a two-year contract in the first instance and will be assessed and considered for permanent tenure over time, based on performance.
